Is my eMMC not long for this world?

Post by L67GS »

I've been seeing this right after boot:

Code: Select all

[ 17.681070@3] EXT4-fs error (device mmcblk0p2): ext4_mb_generate_buddy:755: group 19, 8822 clusters in bitmap, 6774 in gd
This module has been unplugged, plugged in and re-loaded more times than I imagine it was ever designed to have been. I've tortured it well.

That's just a filesystem error, try repairing it and also run fstrim on the eMMC.

It got stuck and was rolling an error at boot about vendor request on a USB device over and over the other day and after a while I unplugged the power and re-booted. A filesystem error makes sense since I did something known to whack a filesystem.
