New theme was surprising but it grew on me so big thumbs up for that too.

Re: Emuelec for the Odroid Go Advance v3.9 stable
Hi, I have the problem with the chd file location for MAME. I don't know where to put the files. I already did the common thing, in my case I try to run the killer instinct and the zip is called kist.zip and I make a folder with that name (kist) and inside the kist.chd file, everything inside the roms folder, I already tried with all emulators but I mark file missing kist.chd Does anyone know where it is put?

Re: Emuelec for the Odroid Go Advance v3.9 stable
Hi there to everybody!
This is a newbie trying to make Emuelec works on his OGA.
I've been googling everywhere and reading the wiki but I found not solution to my problem. Would anyone be so kind to helpme?
I have just flashed lastest version of Emuelec to my microsd card. I inserted it to my OGA and it starts ok. After a reboot it shows the main menu of emuelec. I copy a couple of Game Boy
and Sega Genesis roms to the sd card but when I start the device I see no option to load it. I mean, there's no Sega Genesis o Game Boy menu. Just Scum, ResidualVM, ports.
Do I have to download some cores or what?

Re: Emuelec for the Odroid Go Advance v3.9 stable
On my OGA Black Edition, I cannot get an accurate battery percentage at all. It's usually at 0%, even on a full charge, or get down to 0 from a seemingly arbitrary number. It stays at 0 when I recharge 100%. I'm on 3.9, but have had the issue since I started on 3.7. Anyone have similar issues or any advice?

@OatmealParmesan,
You needed a complete cycle of full-charge to full-discharge to make a more accurate battery driver coefficient values. We call it 'battery gauge self-calibration'.
Charge the device for a few hours and disconnect the USB power cable. And, play games for several hours until the device turns off.
Next time, you will have a much more accurate battery percentage.

That may be worth including in the little information booklet you send with the device.odroid wrote:@OatmealParmesan,

I'm very excited about Emuele 4.0. It suposed to be a full-64bit OS? isn't it? Also It will include vulkan support. Do you think we will have big impact in performance with 4.0 version?

Thanks @Josh86 ! Yes, here is the other:
Hi,
I used my NAS to copy some files to the extf4 partition on coreELEC. Some where copied without the execution bit and I can’t delete them anymore:
I can delete Batman but not Axelay. Batman was transfered using SMB. Axelay via NAS.
Here is what I tried:
And with sudo I get:
What have I done wrong? How do I get REAL root access? The NAS can’t delete the files either.
------
Got it:
chattr -i file
This removed the i attribute. Works.

Is there a compiled list of all hotkeys and shortcuts? Like "display FPS" or "save state", "load state" and so on?

It's tucked away in the wiki for EmuElec. There's a a link on the sidebar area.
https://github.com/EmuELEC/EmuELEC/wiki ... Go-Advance
Remember that you can change these hotkeys for libretro/retroarch cores. It's in the input settings/hotkeys area of the Retroarch overlay. I tweaked mine slightly.

Thanks for the response, I should've mentioned I have done exactly this a good 5 times now. Any advice on what to check when this still fails?odroid wrote: ↑Tue Dec 22, 2020 10:43 am@OatmealParmesan,

Try the reference OS image V1.2 to narrow down root causes.OatmealParmesan wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 3:37 amThanks for the response, I should've mentioned I have done exactly this a good 5 times now. It will tell us whether EmuElec has a different battery driver or not.

They call me "Question Marc"
I tried to use Ozone in RetroArch in Drivers-Menu-Ozone and saved the config. It does not work. Still the xmb. Any idea how to change the menu driver in EmuELEC?
---
got it:
You can also change /emuelec/configs/emuelec.conf
## Retroarch menu driver, ozone (default), rgui or xmb
#global.retroarch.menu_driver=ozone
in "Appearance" set scaling to 2.

Hello and merry xmas,
I add my mame roms to /roms/mame and they all start fine (Bucky O-Hare ect) But the buttons do not work. Insert coin is not set and no other button does anything. Even Hotkey + X for the configuration does work. Any idea?

Re: Emuelec for the Odroid Go Advance v3.9 stable
I found an issue with the v4.0-TEST-1207202 version on my OGA-BE. Changing the Emulator in Advanced System Options of EmulationStation has no effect; the es_systems.cfg file does not get updated. I tested this with MAME and Nintendo 64 and can set their default emulators by editing es_systems.cfg manually.

I love the new partition system, I always struggled with the wifi speeds dropping out after a few GB of roms being transferred, turned into a whole days job transferring roms. Now I can transfer at much faster speeds.
Will we be able to upgrade from RC to final when released? It's now not as big a deal as transferring roms is loads easier but still be nice to know.

These are still TEST versions, that said, in theory there should be no problem updating to the final version, BUT this could change dependent on how much other things are modified in the final image, as for now, yes it will be possible to upgrade.

You can replace the KERNEL and SYSTEM files along with the .md5 (make sure they are the same names as the ones already on the SD card, and do not replace any other files) files on the first partition, not the right way to do it or even recommended, but in this case will fix the issueErol wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 4:45 amAny chance to share info which files are changed/added so that I can simply copy? Thx for tip.
Extracted img with Total Commander Ultima Prime 7.9 (linux disk plugin). Option - Mount raw image and choose new emuelec img.
Copy files to first partition:
kernel (18.17MB)
KERNEL.MD5
SYSTEM (660.30MB)
SYSTEM.MD5
Now works fine.
