Re: [OS] Debian Jessie

Hi, I have an odroid xu4 with debian jessie installed, I installed at least I think a backup software called crashplan because I wanted to use this system to make a backup of my external disks, I downloaded the linux version and installed everything, the icon appears to me of the program but it does not open, the program is based on java, has any of you stumbled upon this program? I have seen installation videos on ubuntu and it works. Thanks.

Java is rather heavy, and often requires tons of memory which the XU4 might not have.
You should try starting the program from a terminal and check the output on the console or from syslog to see what could be the issue.

I personally prefer backuppc as a backup software, use it at home and at work to backup tons of systems.

I've backported newer versions of mono for this image as well, maybe that can help you:
try:

Code: Select all

apt-get install -t jessie mono-complete
or whatever mono package you need (mono-runtime or whatever).

Hi meveric,

Thanks for your kind reply, I installed an old Mono version and it is work properly. I'll try your update Mono.
Another question :D , what about GPIO library? is that possible to use RPi.GPIO-Odroid library or you have an update one?
Thanks in advance.

To be honest I never tried the GPIO libraries.
Lot of them rely on python and are pretty messy so I don't deal with them.

Overall GPIO work, I load drivers for the different sound boards, and the screen of the OGST case, so overall they work.
But I never programmed with them myself.
