GPIOX vs GPIOH

Post by Sebas_Ledesma »

According to this image:

now the pins are called GPIOX or GPIOH.

What are the differences between them?

How should I read/set them using wiringPi ?

Why they have different colors?

thanks in advance,
Sebas

I think they belong to different gpio banks.

1. Right. There are a few GPIO banks like GPIOA, GPIOX and GPIOH as described in the S905X3 datasheet.
https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-c4/hardw ... _datasheet

2. Use the number in wPi column of the table in our Wiringpi wiki page.
https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-c4/appli ... i#wiringpi

3. Color shows the pin-mux function or category.
Generic GPIO is green, PWM is dark blue, UART is blue, SPI is brown, ADC is light brown, I2C is light blue, Power is red, Ground is black and so on.
