Play Store works for me as well. Glad Google finally fixed it...
Ita still working for you? PlayStore not working for me... Well it works but if i have the updated version I cant click the too menu. I cant also get off PlayStore.
What version of PlayStore app is giving you problems?
Try installing an older version from here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-in ... lay-store/
To get out of PlayStore app press "Home" button on your remote/keyboard.

EDIT: I just checked last PIE-R11 version on my uSD card with installed PlayStore version 2.3.18 and have no problems; everything works OK...
Ok just in case... how to prevent the play store from updating? I click disable automatic updates but it keeps updating by itself

The only version working for me without any issues is Version 17.8.20 anything over 17.8.20 makes top menu unclickable/unusable

Hi, I've just got my N2 and installed this ROM.

Everything went fine with the exception that any HDD or pendrive I connect to a USB port is recognized by the system but file explorer doesn't show those, only the internal SSD. Anyone knows that could be the issue ?
Did you try with X-plore file manager?
Hi,

Tks for your message.

I tried with file explorer and only internal storage was showed. If I access the storage option, it shows the disk but no option to use for transfer file..

It's really strange as I tried other ROM's like lineage 16 and coreelec and with those, it worked.

Is it working for you ? with disks formatted as NTFS too?

Hi I installed latest ATV PIE-R.12 (atv_selfinstall-odroidn2.img.xz) and I can´t hear sound (or can only hear it with a very low level output with TV sound maxed out.
I have done the following:
Odroid settings:
Audio Output: HDMI, lineout
ATV - Device Preferences - Sound System
sounds=on, Select formats; None: Never use surround sound
because of my stereo speakers.
How do I volume / level up my sound that I can hear it without maxing out the TV volume slider.

What should be the file manager for ATV version to install the update package? I used File Commander, but when I used Odroid Utility and selected the zip update package, the app just exited and nothing happened.

@Sholander: Yep!

@thering1975: Delete all inside your /odroid-atv except for the hidden .git directory, then repo sync again.

@raidenii: If does not work with a file manager you can try using recovery mode and adb sideload.

Code: Select all

$ reboot recovery
or with adb:

Just for info, i did that and res-ynced but the same error came up, i also fired up another server and did a fresh set up with the same response

However on another note relating to the android recovery included in this rom, one thing i noticed is i could not find away to actually move the cursor/menu selection, wireless keyboard was not actioning and neither was the wireless remote control. does it have to be a hard wired keyboard or infrared remote? On the lineage recovery the wireless remote works fine

Will do, just set up another server so it is currently on the first compile which usually passes fine, then will do the selfinstall make afterwards and past the compile log

@secuflag Here goes

First make -j8 is fine and completes

Logs from make -j8 selfinstall

https://pastebin.com/SLskL0U6 - Raw log
https://pastebin.com/hCzcyCSR - With show commands
https://pastebin.com/FYbJBkMa - Soong Log
https://pastebin.com/AdPcm5mj - With CCache edited for size different error

Also i noted that the last command in your guide reference ccache throws an error, however this path did work, but build still failed on selfinstall step

@thering1975:
1. You should not use the root user, I strongly suggest to create a new user.
2. You're trying to compile the wrong build type, please use userdebug or eng.
3.

Code: Select all

make[1]: aarch64-none-elf-gcc: Command not found
/bin/sh: 1: aarch64-none-elf-gcc: not found
Check the path to vendor/toolchains/gcc-linaro-aarch64-none-elf-4.9-2014.09_linux/bin
You have something wrong with it, maybe permissions on files.

Will try userdebug now and check the folder file permissions

However i do not understand how the first make completes successfully, it's just building the selfinstall package that fails

Thank you though for taking the time to look and for responding, i shall do some further digging and find out the issue

Thanks, turns out that recovery cant load zip from sd card, sideload from another computer is the only way.

OK...but seems not on ATV build?

I've enabled RA on the VLAN that I would like devices to have IPv6, and while my Android phone gets an IPv6 address automatically (it's running LOS 16), the ATV does not receive one. Plus, there is no place for it to set an IPv6 address statically either.

A side note, is it me or that there is no option to set up a WPA2-Enterprise connection on ATV?

IPv6 works fine also on ATV of course, but, your ISP must support IPv6 connections or you can't do anything.

WPA2-Enterprise: Take a look at this: https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Enc ... on_Android

My home network has he.net 6in4 on router and all devices behind that can access IPv6 networks without issues.
Regarding WPA2 enterprise, the tutorial pasted does not apply on ATV - the settings page on ATV prompts for a PSK even when selecting WPA2 Enterprise, while I don't use PSK for EAP.

Correction: IPv6 is supported - I have way too strict firewall rules on the VLAN for my TV box. Fixing that and IPv6 address is properly obtained by the box, although it cannot be verified from GUI, but with a terminal to check.

802.1x is still an issue though, but I don't care too much about that.

I can't switch Display frequencies in Emby App. (ExoPlayer). It only supports 1080p/60.
Odroid Settings are set to:
display > screen resolution > auto detect
playback settings > HDMI self-adoption > totle mode

Any ideas?

As far as i can recall only the framerate can auto adjust in android, resolutions do not auto change in android (they do in coreelec). An example would be if you change the resolution in the menu manually it has to reboot to affect the change, so auto res changing unlikely in any N2 Android

If all you want is the framerate to change, i presume you have installed AFRD and are rooted? If so it should work, i just tested on Jellyfin and it adapted fraemrate on both stop and start

Since the board is not a Google certified device and has not the required DRM license, you can install NETFLIX but you can't play HD/UHD contents.

Its not possible to use any wifi, because you cannot apply the password. There is no button to apply it and enter does not work.

ATV version? Try with this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... .tv.remote

Nope, you can't play anything that requires Widevine DRM Level L1.

@secuflag - I do have problems with boot-up, the install process was fine. But boot-up after did freeze, and the blue light was solid, the picture was split in 2. And freezes.

*env.ini it seems the cpu freq is wrong, i do have N2, i can see the freq is sat to N2+, i will try it out now. Thanks,.

*After edit env.ini - cpu freq, big and little to values of the N2, it boot straight away.

Just tried to install your N2 ATV version on a N2+, unfortunately it fails, as soon as the device powers on, it shows black screen then a Cache error in Android Recovery, and thats it, it then reboots into COreElec as that is seen as the only os left. Repeated this twice with the same results

Edit

Third Flash and it seems to install, fingers crossed!

I did find some errors with the cpu freq, on N2 - I do not know if it affects N2+ also. But check out env.ini, and look for cpu freq both big and little..

Nope, gave up on the ATV, switched to standard build, but still having reboot issues, but raised it in the petitboot thread for tobetter to look at as it was the same on this and voodik, but oddly only on the N2+ not my N2

Have you tried to lower your cpu freq, maybe lower than standard freq, just to rule out some cpu heat - freq issues? Just a thought..

Was it only the cpu freq to change? Do you have the time to maybe upload a image with the error, fix? Thanks.

Yes indeed left it at stock to test, the N2+ has the fan attached aswell and that has not ever kicked in as of yet

Hi thanks for this amazing ROM. I'm using the ATV version and it is generally running extremely well. Unfortunately, nothing seems to detect it as a Chromecast device. I have the Chromecast Built-in app installed, it is connected to the WiFi via ethernet, I have a google account fully registered.

Anyone have an idea how to resolve this?
