It shouldn't be so difficult. There is no serious risk.
Just try two steps Example #1 and #2.

You can use the tool to dump the current version and restore it later if needed.

1)download JMS578 F/W updater and upload it to your HC1 --> Where ?
2)./JMS578FwUpdate -v --> Current version
3)./JMS578FwUpdate -d /dev/sda -f ./JMS578-Hardkenel-Release-v173.01.00.02-20190306.bin -b ./backup.bin ?
4)Update Firmware file name: ./JMS578-Hardkenel-Release-v173.01.00.02-20190306.bin ?

is this how to proceed ?
thanks in advance

The links in the wiki page work. https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-xu4/soft ... _fw_update
Can you access the HC1 via SSH console?
Which OS image do you run on the HC1?

You have not followed the instructions here: https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-xu4/soft ... how_to_use
You need to download, hnpack and cd into the application folder before you can use it.

That looks like a generic message. You can run that dmesg command and post the output to see if there's anything to worry about.

I wouldn't worry about any of them. Is HDMI disconnected?

Sorry, forgot is a HC1. In that case the HDMI errors are normal too.
