microSD storage

Post by fvolk » Tue Jun 16, 2020 3:17 pm

So when testing keeping track of multiple microSD cards is tricky, and keeping them in storage remembering which one was which image.
Commercial microSD plastic storage cases are... not good?
So I built my own. See attached.

photo1: print on 120g A4 paper and cut
photo2: cut main and fold with a metal ruler, cut inlays
photo3: glue 3 layers of inlays on top of each other
photo4: finally glue base cover, wait overnight for glue to harden
use as storage for your microSD cards
photo5: why 6 per package? because then a H2 heatsink is a perfect holder...

You have to be precise during assembly, don't be sad if your first attempt does not work.
With 120g paper 2 inlays give a very tight fit, 3 inlays are somewhat lose - but results depend on your paper thickness and glue and precision of work.

Have fun with Odroids!

This is excellent! Something to try when my kid wants me to build him an origami next time! :)
