I’m currently using ATV ROM from this topic: viewtopic.php?f=178&t=35484

Is it possible to move to this ROM via updating using an update package? Or the only option is to install from scratch? If the update option is possible, would it keep all the apps?

Thanks, clear. Is the bug that makes the top menu (e.g. search button) inaccessible fixed in the latest version?

Hi

Was wondering if you know what is possibly going on, i raised the issue in both Voodiks Thread and in Android main but so far no response.

I tested your latest ATV (R10) version and the same issue is present (so i believe it is stemming from HK main branch)

The HDR Switch is not working as such the device is stuck with SDR to HDR permanently on. This does not matter on what resolution / colour depth settings you have on. On the older versions when you selected that SDR to HDR switch to off or on the screen blanks and it changes. On all the latest versions it does not and everything appears washed out as one would expect with this faux hdr

I have an unlisted video so you can see what i mean and how making a change does not affect the signal the TV is getting (always showing HDR)

Just wondering if you have seen this on your device.

Have fun!
Installed your latest atv_selfinstall-odroidn2.img to an uSD card. It works well, but if I insert my CoreElec on eMMC and try to boot your version via SPI/Petitboot, it does not boot, but gets stuck on black HardKernel logo.
Regular PIE 64 bit version 20200507 on uSD card boots OK via Petitboot...

Don't bother, since I was wrong in stating that regular Pie works via Petitboot, and your ATV does not. They both don't work i.e. don't boot from uSD card via Petitboot when eMMC with CE 9.2.2 is inserted.
This is probably a Petitboot error which @tobetter will have to look into and offer a solution.

Hi just tested the version linked and the same problem persists, Faux HDR mode is permanently stuck on, the toggle switch for SDR to HDR does not switch the option on or off.

Thank you for trying

I posted in the hardware section but this might be a more appropriate place to ask. I am trying to connect a PiCAN2 board to a N2 for CAN BUS. I read that HK added support in 4.9.205-64 but that's for Ubuntu. I was hoping since yours is at 4.9.219 with R10, the drivers would be in there but it doesn't look like they are. How can I get the PiCAN2 working on the N2, can I add the required modules some how or will it need a recompiled kernel?

You'll probably need to compile those for your kernel. Here's a guide that I tested with ATV on the N2: https://magazine.odroid.com/article/run ... r-android/

The mcp251x driver has been modified to be used via gpio on the next release.

That would be great! So all I would need to do is install R11(?) and then hook up the physical hardware and it'll communicate out of the box? I think as long as I can see the traffic on the network I can figure it out from there.

First post updated!

NOTE: This release (R.11) is only available in selfinstall image.
That's because the /data partition must be reformatted from ext4 to f2fs for better performances.
If you don't install this release you will not be able to boot any future release using the updatepackage.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Have fun!

I made a fresh R.11 installation and all is OK except, as always, "Google Play Store" :)
Does this mean that it will be possible to OTA update your future versions?

To make OTA updates works I would need a hosting server with a lot of space on disk and unlimited bandwidth :D
Since I don't have it, you can anyway manually install updatepackages using OdroidSettings.

Well, that's OK with me, even prefer this method. But, IIRC your older versions did not have this update option via Odroid Settings, so if that is solved, your ATV is again my primary Android version, tnx :)

Installed latest build. Odroid N2 2GB.

There are no display options anywhere in settings.

According to my Onkyo receiver the Leanback Launcher is 4k 29Hz, 24bit RGB, but Kodi is locked at 1080p 30Hz.

4k Vizio display. Coreelec works fine.

Hello everyone

Earlier, I used Linux with C4. Yesterday I tried the ATV ROM R.11 which works well with Ethernet port.

But the system can't turn on wifi, which I found my wifi device through AIDA64.

How can I turn on wifi?

Re: ROM AOSP Android 9.0 Pie + Android-TV version

Post by secuflag » Thu Jun 25, 2020 1:50 am

Hi all, bad bad news here, after 9 years and infinite hours dedicated to compile my Android projects, my mainboard and my power supply broke yesterday :'(
Due to this I can't work on any new release for a while since compile android sources require a powerful workstation.

If you liked my work for N2 and C4 and if you want to help me to buy some new hardware feel free to click the link in my signature.

Many thanks!

Hi, I've just got my N2 and installed this ROM.

Everything went fine with the exception that any HDD or pendrive I connect to a USB port is recognized by the system but file explorer doesn't show those, only the internal SSD. Anyone knows that could be the issue ?

Google PlayStore is broken. The other bad news is it keeps autoupdating by itself.

Anybody knows how to stop PlayStore from autoupdating?

Did you try with X-plore file manager?

What version of PlayStore app is giving you problems?
Try installing an older version from here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-in ... lay-store/
To get out of PlayStore app press "Home" button on your remote/keyboard.

EDIT: I just checked last PIE-R11 version on my uSD card with installed PlayStore version 2.3.18 and have no problems; everything works OK...
