On my French 106 button keyboard it is marked just as an arrow pointing from down-right to left-up as " \ "with arrow point.

Image

(The image is from a full button keyboard not from a 106 version just to show Home button marking)

I have not tested it, but maybe the HOME button located between Insert and Page Up and above End on regular keyboards.
Note, that you can install Button Mapper (https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... tton&hl=en) and map other keys to have the Home function. Though it doesn't react to CEC events, sadly, but it should work with keyboard keys. Give it a try.

AH ! I don't know why but I was looking for the "KEY_HOME" (as a function) key not the "position 1" key. Such a stuborn guy ^^" I'll try that.

Next step for me, try to have 144Hz up which is another problem/

Thanks for the update - is it possible to do in-place upgrade, or I have to start from scratch every time?

I have not found to install google chrome.
Hi Peto!

Could you find a solution for the inaccessiable playstore menu. I cannot go there, too. I used mouse and keyboard

Kind regards

Hi!

I love this version, games run very good on it :-) But please add USB gamecontroller modules to the kernel. I added PS2/PS3 HID Module plus Ortek and it works perfectly:
CONFIG_HID_ORTEK=y
CONFIG_HID_SONY=y
CONFIG_SONY_FF=y

Kind regards!

Hi all.

Has anyone tried to compile code from source with the latest changes ?
After change toolchain to gcc 9.x not possible to compile code.
Main problem is "cc1: all warnings being treated as errors" and compilation stopped.
If return linaro back all works fine.

In my system, the Russian locale. GCC 9 and 'make' shows some of the information in Russian.
I think that it will be possible to understand. Is such a log suitable ?

Also I try to add some supports to kernel. GDC for example. It also not compile with gcc 9.x.
With linaro all works fine with any combinations of kernel config or device *.mk config.

I tried to compile with full clean installation.
New repo init, repo sync, e.t.c.
It still does not compile (stopped while compile kernel parts).

Last lines of compilation log.

Hi,
Just installed this rom and it looks nice,
Some questions that I could not found:

Is there an option to enable root access?
Is it possible to remove the sound & camera icon from the nav bar?
Does it auto prompt / install new versions? And if so do I need to eanble the Odroid settings -> cheack update at boot?

Yes, edit /odm/default.prop

Code: Select all

hide.volume_buttons=false
hide.screenshot_button=false
hide.poweroff_button=false

No, just leave it disabled.
(I will remove that menu entry in the future)

Just signed up for YouTubeTV and it doesn't work with this rom, I get a playback error every time I try to watch any video.

Anyone figured this out?

Also is there any way to stop the playstore from updating itself, I turned off auto updates for apps, but keep having to
uninstall the updates for the playstore to get search to work.

I wish to use fastboot to update the ROM to R.09, is it possible to use the micro USB cable?
While trying to install the ADB drivers (https://wiki.odroid.com/troubleshooting ... ot_install) I get an error:

Windows was unable to install your odroidn2
Windows could not finf drivers for your device

I was able to install the driver and get adb working under the original HardKernel ROM.
Can you point me to a place that fully explain how to install the update?

Tried fresh install of latest PIE-R.09 on SD card, and booting stuck at HardKernel logo screen. A force power off and on boots into OS, but on next reboot it stuck again. Is it only me or someone else too?

Checked voodik's thread and seems like a bug for SD cards.

Has anybody got Display Mode switching and HDMI Passthrough working on this with the Plex app? I can't get it to work.

Also, the bottom 1/10 of my screen is flickering.

There is no display mode switching in Android.

Are you sure? Are we talking resolution switching, or refresh rate switching? Pretty sure it does both, when they came out with the new player
it was a beta feature at first. Not sure if you still need the beta, I had side loaded it to mess with Dolby Vision on my Shield.

I have
Experimental Player: On
Refreshrate Switching: On
Resolution Switching: On
Passthrough: HDMI

Yet none of those options work, also tried enabling it in odroid settings. I am installing the Ubuntu image atm to see if the flickering is an SW or HW problem (just got the N2 today). Thanks.

Unless something has changed recently Amlogic doesn't support either in Android, it's not about software support but hardware.

That is really unfortunate to hear.

Seems like there is no way around a x86 plexmediaplayer-embedded or nvidia shield, if you want a proper plex experience.

Depending on the device, it can be more or less noticeable, but there definitely is a difference. As a purist, this isn't optional.

It's the same question as, "does it even matter if your receiver decodes your audio bit stream?"

Is it me or everyone that, after Google Play is updated, the remote cannot move the focus to the top bar that contains the settings icon? Also back key on the remote doesn't work in Play Store as well. Works totally fine in any other apps.

me too i have this problem ... i use the latest version PIE-R.09 atv

Also there might be some issue with the RTL8818au driver - WPA2 PSK keeps failing with "authentication problem", but I tested the USB adapter on PC and it works totally fine.

hi secuflag greetings from Lugano,
can you please be so kind to explain a bit how to use the "atv_updatepackage-odroidn2-signed.zip" file.
i tried the Update section of the Odroid Settings app without any luck (online package/downloaded package).
no joy with the "adb sideload method" too.
:-/

Once you downloaded the zip, from the Odroid Settings app select Update -> From downloaded package.
Done this, the Odroid Settings app should do all the rest.

Unfortunately seems the Wifi issue still persists in ATV version for PIE-R10. Using a RTL8811AU and can't authenticate to any SSIDs.
Plus flash drive using FAT32 file system cannot be detected as well. Meanwhile, all those devices work totally fine on PIE-R08 4GB Ram ATV image.

Unfortunately I don't have any RTL8811AU device to test, can only say that works fine with a RTL8192CU device.
If you have the serial kit please try to collect some logs from the console so I can investigate errors.

Tested with one SanDisk 32GB UMS (FAT32);

Code: Select all

console:/ $ mount
/dev/block/vold/public:8,1 on /mnt/media_rw/7240-CA94 type vfat (rw,dirsync,nosuid,nodev,noexec,noatime,uid=1023,gid=1023,fmask=0007,dmask=0007,allow_utime=0020,codepage=437,iocharset=iso8859-1,shortname=mixed,utf8,errors=remount-ro)
If you like my work feel free to contribute to buy me some beers. ;)

Don't have serial, is it possible to use adb shell over Ethernet?

Yes, or you can use a MicroUSB cable.

USB drive seems to work with Google Files, previously I was using another app and not sure why the permissioning window doesn't pop up. Anyway, here's the Wifi log, changed my SSID to MyWifiSSID:
