Custom paint job and joystick grip

Post by 7thking »

I colored my odroid go from the inside in white color.
Waiting for some custom buttons to come in.

The joystick grip of PS Vita fits the odroid go advance joystick PERFECTLY!
This makes the odroid go so much better to play since the original plastic is very hard to grip.
This has made my experience tons better.

The interior white paint does look pretty amazing. I imagine it helps with the light bleed through on the LCD ribbon area that some people are taping up. I pre-ordered two handhelds and left one clear. The other, I dyed with Rit Dyemore Sapphire Blue and an acetone solution. It took the dye nearly instantly and has a light/medium blue tint.

Looks like the new joystick give you a lot more movement range/control with the stick being a little longer.

What's up with your Dpad cutout? Did you file it out or something? Mine looks quite smooth/finished in comparison.

That’s a good looking paint job there. I hope it’s okay for me to post my custom paint job as well.
Overall, I think having that vita joystick grip would help out quite a bit on my console as well.
I ended up using an airbrush with restore enamel based model paint. It turned out pretty good

So - um - forgetting the paint job for a sec (it's awesome btw) - what are you using to get that incredible screen?

Here's mine before doing a GBP button swap, which I have since ditched, and adding a red Dpad (GBP clone) and a joystick grip. Tamiya fluorescent paint fade. I am going to try rit dying the stock buttons and triggers black next.

It is running batocera, i connected a WiFi usb dongle to it and downloaded the “es-theme-next-level-V4-TMCTV” theme through the download section. Hope this helps
