SD Card size, accessing SD from macos and wifi adapter

Unread post by johnpdoe » Wed Feb 05, 2020 12:21 am

I read a few posts on these topics but none giving a final answer:

- Is there a size limit on the SD card that the Odroid Go Advance can use? Will normal Samsung EVO+128GB work just fine?

- Does the ODroid Wifi Module 0 work with the Odroid Go Advance? In the hard kernel site only the Wifi Module 5A is listed in the "compatible products" section. However in odroid.co.uk all wifi modules (0, 3 and 5A) were listed as related products.I ended up getting the 0. Will it work?

- Can you access the SD card to add games from macOS? I read that linux is needed for it (ext4)

Thanks!

All hardkernel wifi modules (including 0) work. Plus other wifi adapters.

There is no known size limit on SD cards. Samsung EVO Select (green) 128GB has been tested and works well.

Yes, it works "out of the box" without any modifications.

Yes, if you have a wifi connection. The ODROID-GO Advance presents itself as a network file server allowing ROM management. Full filesystem access is available through SSH/SFTP.
