I've installed MPD for android on voodik's ATV (https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... rg.musicpd) and it works fine, playing back audio both on HDMI and 3.5" jack. I'll see later if there is a way to select which output I want to use, but for now I can live with it (I want only 3.5" jack for MPD).
The problem is my content is hosted on my NAS and MPD scans it from /sdcard/Music. So I need to mount my NAS music to /sdcard/Music in a way that is visible to MPD.
I've been doing some research and it seems that rclone can mount a remote SSH share (amongst a lot of other types) to a folder in the Android filesystem. I've been playing with this https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/ ... arg.rclone on my phone. Problem is - I can't install it directly in ATV because ATV doesn't use magisk.
Installation instructions are here: https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/ ... ate-binary
Problem is - they seem to use a lot of magisk stuff, so I'm not sure how deep the integration goes.
So, let me rephrase:
1. Is there a way to mount a network share (samba/nfs/sshfs) to a /sdcard/Music so that it's accessible for all Android processes? Networking will always be wired, in the same LAN, so there shouldn't be many connectivity issues.
2. If not, what's the best way to test rclone (which has this mount ability) without bricking my system?

I am using this Mount Manager on my C2s https://forum.xda-developers.com/showth ... p?t=902664.
But it also needs root.
Can‘t try it out anymore on my N2, it found another use case.

Ok, managed to install it and mounted a samba share (I was unable to add options to allow passwords yet). It reports that it mounted the share but it's not visible to other apps, presumably because of mount namespace isolation...
Maybe I can mount it at boot and bypass isolation?

I haven't had time to rework my android install (kids like to watch the same cartoons at the same time now and I don't really need two tvs anymore). But when I do, this is what I'll try: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/topic? ... source=app
voodok's roms can now run Magisk so you can install rclone.
