Re: [ROM] LineageOS-16.0 for ODROID-N2
I think i know where is problem.benwillcox wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2019 7:17 amJust had a further test whilst driving my car with the GPS working. There is a strange characteristic to the GPS now, which I also noticed affected the official ROM at the last update, but I changed to LineageOS-16 before having chance to report it on the forums.
On this latest release, and the latest release of the official ROM, when using TomTom Go GPS Navigation app the realtime speed display no longer appears, and the app no longer automatically switches from the overview map to turn-by-turn directions when you start driving. In the previous LineageOS-16 release (0.7) and the previous official ROM version this problem does not exist.
So, perhaps something has changed with the output of the NMEA stream? I did load up the GPS Test app to see if anything had changed (as there was an old bug where the GPS time was incorrect), but can't see anything obvious.
Many thanks,
Ben
Can you put this to /vendor/lib/hw/ restart and test again?

On a different note, do you know if it’s possible to enable the SPDIF output? On the official ROM I understand it only works on certain versions on Kodi, but I don’t use Kodi and need all the audio to be routed through the SPDIF output like it does on the C2.
Many thanks

Re: [ROM] LineageOS-16.0 for ODROID-N2
I installed this version:
selfinstall-odroidn2-s922_lineage-16.0_alpha-0.6_20190820.img.zip
Then I downloaded with the internal browser this update package:
updatepackage-odroidn2-userdebug-s922_9.0.0_master-20190911.zip
Then in the "odroid settengs" I choosed to update from internal storage and selected the downloaded file.
I didn't use any file manager.

Re: [ROM] LineageOS-16.0 for ODROID-N2
The latest image is working great and it's been stable with Kodi.
Is it possible to disable adb over network by default without disabling ADB over USB?
I noticed it turns back on after reboot if ADB isn't fully disabled and I fear could lead to a potential security issue since Android doesn't have a default firewall application.
Also seeing as HK's AOSP image now has 64-bit would it be possible to build? (maybe reserved for your LineageOS 17 base?)
Without gapps would be amazing if possible!

On a side note can anyone confirm they have this working or is it specific to HK's kernel?

Re: [ROM] LineageOS-16.0 for ODROID-N2
I have a usb bluetooth dongle wich works out of the box in coreElec and HardKernel ubuntu.
Android at boot display bluetooth crash messages. I had to disconnect it, so now I don't have any bluetooth device attached.

As a follow up:
I tried to plug the usb dongle and to start the bluetooth service and the system became unstable, with the bluetooth error message.
Without the dongle and with the service on, I can access the sound preferences without any crash. Of course I can't access any bluetooth device.

Android Bluetooth stack only support dongles with BLE, so old ones not supported.Sav wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2019 8:53 pmAs a follow up:

Re: [ROM] LineageOS-16.0 for ODROID-N2
It appears this is common on the official Android 64-bit (20191018) image too so it's potentially kernel specific.
At the least you can rule it down to not being specific to LineageOS or user error.
Maybe try some bipartisan efforts with HK.
It only happens when there's no dongle plugged in but I only use infrared so I just enabled airplane mode and rebooted to clear the message.

Re: [ROM] LineageOS-16.0 for ODROID-N2
It's not Kernel specific, it's basic NPE, because Android framework is not plug and play, if we specified we have Bluetooth we need to have them, otherwise lot of NPE.Kernel wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2019 5:08 amIt appears this is common on the official Android 64-bit (20191018) image too so it's potentially kernel specific.

So mainly i need make some patches to not call this functions if we don't have a hardware attached.

Which Wi-Fi dongle do you recommend?
I don't really need it, but some apps don't recognize ethernet connection... Fake Wi-Fi connection works only till noughat so I have to buy something cheap.

I think any RT5370N chipset included cheap WLAN dongle something like this should work.

Unfortunately 64 bit blobs don't work on Lineage-17, so for this moment only 32 bit is possible.Sav wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2019 2:17 amThanks for your hard work Voodik.voodik wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2019 2:09 amFirst 64 bit build available for tests. Thank you for this!
First issue found however: Odroid WiFi module 0 doesn’t work. There is an error: Wi-if bugreport: WiFi native failure.
Switching on WiFi it immediately switches back off.
I will use an Ethernet cable for now and test some more
Thanks
Ben

Did anyone else experience problems regarding wifi? And how did you fix it?
Neither Lineage 16, nor 17 seem to acknowledge my USB-WiFi adapter.
But the adapter works just fine with the Android version 20191205 from ODROID itself.
Also, please explain in detail

Oh, it must've been late... I literally read that post and didn't realize what it was about.
Nevertheless, I just tried it and sadly it doesn't work for me. Is there anything I can do to help fixing it?
Edit: Nevermind, reinstalling everything from scratch and installing the quick-fix above fixed it.

Re: [ROM] LineageOS-16.0 for ODROID-N2 (32/64 bit)
Been testing for a couple of days and on the whole seems pretty good (the wifi fix worked).
However today on two occasions my GPS and wifi suddenly stopped working. The wifi connection icon disappeared from the status bar, and the GPSTest app showed no satellites at all.
Switching GPS off and on through the Odroid Settings had no effect. Only a reboot was able to fix it.
Anyone else seen this?
Ben

I think its some USB related problem. In latest BSP USB hub reset property is added. I will add them to next build, so when problem occurs you must try reset USB hub first.benwillcox wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 5:07 amBeen testing for a couple of days and on the whole seems pretty good (the wifi fix worked).

Re: [ROM] LineageOS-16.0 for ODROID-N2 (32/64 bit)
Thanks for the reply. It seems to happen with varying frequency, this morning it happened 5 times within 20 minutes, then after the 5th reboot it stayed ok for half an hour or so before failing again. So it is a significant issue.
Isn't the USB hub reset just a bit of a last resort in case of malfunctioning USB device to save unplugging/plugging back in? The previous Lineage build didn't have this dropout problem so I don't think it's anything to do with my USB devices, everything seemed very stable on the last version.
Thanks,
Ben

Re: [ROM] LineageOS-16.0 for ODROID-N2 (32/64 bit)
Hi! got my second N2 board. Yes, bluetooth works fine (last time i'm only enable sink profile but forget about disable "Disable BT") and i successfully connected to it by my phone and play music through N2.voodik wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 8:13 pm
1. About bluetooth ? You need enable it from Odroid Settings > Misc tab (Disabled by default) ten reboot. If you enabled it and still doesn't work please dump logs as described in my signature.
2. Tested with my USB Audio DAC, volume controls on Navigation bar working well.
About USB DAC - can't check it again right now (DAC is installed in car right now)
Have a question about BT sink profile - is it only for media playing? Can i use Odroid as BT hands-free headset to pass calls from my phone to it ?
