Problems with the forum

Post by Nuems »

Recently, I've encountered technical problems with the forum:
Opening the forum has always been a bit slow (compared to other forums/websites), but this week I've repeatedly run into SQL errors (either when opening the front page or when clicking on a thread title). A tech company like Hardkernel shouldn't run into problems of that kind even if you're rather on the hardware side of things.

Recently, Magazine sub-site in our server has been crowded too much and it might cause the forum database stability.
We will keep monitoring the server resources for one more week to find a countermeasure.

I had a similar problem on my web server running ubuntu, the open file limit was not turned off, I had to configure the mysql service to disable the limit in this file /lib/systemd/system/mysql.service under Service so it looks like this:

    Code: Select all

After changing I had to issue this commands:

    Code: Select all

    systemctl daemon-reload
    systemctl restart mysql
Maybe it's the same problem ?
