Need to edit softkey button bar at the bottom screen

Unread post by kafan1986 » Sun Oct 20, 2019 8:17 pm

Hello,

I need to change the bottom softkey button like remove the "screenshot" key and move the "power" button to the left side (infront of volume) control button. Is this possible from some settings? I am running application and have too many times accidently clicked on the screenshot or power button. So becoming fedup of these button in the bottom drawer.

It is impossible from settings. If you want to remove buttons, you have to modify codes and build.

I am going to try to hide buttons by editing boot.ini.

Maybe better hide it by systemprop here ?

P.S.
Better like with persist. prope to save it across updates without wipe

I will release this function next release.

You can hide volumes, screenshot and power buttons.

What are the chances of hiding the whole softkey bar?
I've noticed a lot of apps dont auto hide this bar meaning the softkey bar and icons are fully visible on screen when using apps.

There are apps that can do this.

Search Google play for "immersive manager"

I'd also like to point out that Voodik's LineageOS images have the ability to hide the notification bar and the bottom panel through the LineageOS graphical settings if you don't want to edit config files.
You can even have it hidden for specific applications like Kodi, or the web browser and have them remain in the home desktop.

Indeed, quite a nice feature.
