Thanks for this, it is fun trying this out on the N2.
A few questions:

- My bluetooth says "Bluetooth address unavailable" , what must I do to get it working, I've enabled "Enable Bluetooth Sink profile" in the Misc Settings.
- How do you get the Odroid IF remote control working ??
- My Odroid Wifi dongle is recognized, I've downloaded the onscreen keyboard as described above but when I try to connect, it says unable to connect ?

Does anyone have any idea about these things ?
Thanks in advance

I've tried to install latest package, install seem to go alright ( message installing) but now all I'm getting is the android start up screen with a curved blue line and a blue circle going from right to left.Have left it for 10 mins but no change.
Wrong package, found the latest. All good now

Does CEC wake up and CEC shutdown works for anyone? I tried to set CEC settings in all ways but it doesn't work.
Have also problem with Youtube videos on my Samsung UHD Smart TV - they always playback at 60 fps and visually there are tearing (no frame drops on Youtube statistics). Have set 2160p60 in Android settings. There are no problem with playback in Kodi. 4K HDR movies play perfectly smooth without tearing effect.

BTW. voodik thank you for a great rom.

Thanks Voodik for the ROM!
So far, it is working great in my N2.

Voodik, you mentioned tvheadend in the extras.

What should I do in order to run the tvheadend server in Android TV?
I am using USB DVB-T2 tuner (Astrometa brand).

CEC has been an issue on all these roms, from the hardkernel source as well as 64 bit, I created an ATV 64 bit rom and it runs nice but there is a lot of work still in the sdk. CEC bug is really annoying that it needs to be unpluged and plugged back in to work right. I have exhausted all option and will continue seeing if I can fix it as well.

What is the difference as long as you get the number?

Is it possible to install LineageOS-16.0 then update to Android TV?

I need to change two settings in the Plex app before switching to Android TV (as these settings do not appear in TV Mode)

I tried using the latest image and the odroid utility crashes when I choose the android tv update.zip

Hello and thanks for the great ATV.
I can't find the shutdown Menü.
Maybe I'm a noob.
Please help me.
Settings > Device Preferences > About
Thank you I found it.
Can you put that on the home screen?

navigation and status bar required for tincore keymapper.
I can add navigation and status bar.
Is there a setting or apk for this?

I installed the atv version and so far it runs fine. Is CEC supported out of the box? It didn't work for me...

Unfortunately it doesn't boot with Petitboot (latest version of 27.11.2019) with coreelec on emmc and LOS ATV on uSD. All is working without issue when I boot only uSD without petitboot (CEC, too). I tried to install Lineage OS 16 (not-ATV) 64 bit and ...same results (no boot in dual boot with petitboot, normal boot from uSD only). Same system works with Android 32 bit from HK on uSD and petitboot

Never mind my previous CEC report. It works now, thanks (selected it in my Samsung TV menu).

Edit: Regarding casting content to ATV (non-drm, like youtube or Casting a browser tab from Chrome) - I take it it's unlikely to ever work out of the box, right? Can you recommend any android app that can provide that functionality (work as a chromecast)? I'd like to cast content/pictures from linux or Android.

same result for me, i cannot boot from micro sd when emmc installed (corelec written to emmc), im attempting to use 'selfinstall-odroidn2-s922_lineage-16.0_ATV_64_alpha-0.1_20191225.img.zip' from a 32GB micro sd card. i do have petitboot installed, but im not using the switch to select petitboot, and as far as i know that should result in boot from micro sd card right?. i have tried latest version of etcher and different micro sd card with the same result.

I just tried google Cast service(Mediashell) and it doesn't work because of missing DRM. So i removed it since XU4 ATV image.
I think you can find some replacement for it, e.g. DLNA or PLEX... also in general you can always download opengapps package and add Mediashell by hand to your system.

If you doesn't use petitboot, you have to put Coreelec on uSD and Android on eMMC. This way, the system boot Coreelec, and when remove uSD, boots Android. If Coreelec is on eMMC (without petitboot) and a uSD with other OS is inserted, the system doesn't boot

Thanks for the reply, ok understood, emuelec must work differently in that case as that will boot from micro SD even if the emmc is present.

Don't know what is wrong on your installations guys.

Just today, for the first time, I installed LOS ATV latest version to uSD card (Sandisk 32GB HC1) With only uSD card connected (SPI switch to the right) and everything went OK. After setting my preferences and installing my apps, turned N2 off. Inserted my CE (v.9.2.1) installation on eMMC, flipped the SPI switch to left position and turned N2 on. Configured Petitboot to boot automatically to LOS on uSD card and everything works; now I can boot auto to LOS on uSD or manually select boot to CE on eMMC.

The only thing is that with latest Petitboot version system bots twice to Petitboot before it starts booting selected device/OS...

I think petitboot has a problem with some uSD. I have only Samsung Evo plus 32 GB and 64 GB and these do not works. At the moment unfortunately I can't test other brands

I published first 64 bit selfinstall image (to avoid some issues please make clean instalation)

You can find latest version here

Code: Select all

https://oph.mdrjr.net/voodik/S922X/ODROID-N2/Android/lineage-16.0-64-ATV/
Installed it today, and it suits me more than @secuflag 64 bit ATV version. Use ATV version only for one "IPTV to GO" app (from my ISP) and one game.
Both work perfectly...

You are probably aware that static IP does not work (setting cannot be saved) and that "Play Store" app updates automatically to a new version that does not work any more. Have seen that @secuflag has sorted these two things on his version, so I guess that you'll also have a new fixed version...

Thanx for this great ROM and all work you have done that make me a happy user :D
