JTAG debugging

Unread post by misaz » Sat Jul 27, 2019 4:20 am

Is possible to develop x86 bare metal applications and debug it using JTAG similarly like it is possible to do it on Raspberry Pi? Are JATG pins accessible on Odroid H2?

I've never seen a cheap(affordable) x86 JTAG debugger yet.
Do you have any idea?

I just informated about if it is possible? Raspebrry Pi can be debugged using another Rapsberry Pi or cheep dongle but it looks that it is impossible on x86.

I don't know whether it is possible or not.
The JTAG port on the x86 boards was used for BIOS ROM flashing purpose only.
I believe most developers just use the serial(UART) console since there is no affordable x86 JTAG debugger in the real world.
