We weren't talking about the C2, we were talking about the N2.

You are comparing a 3.5 year old device with the Pi 4.
Lol.

Anyway, the Pi 4 still beats the N2 for compiling apps etc. maybe not be "better" on paper with specs but it IS better.

Have you tried odroid.c2.video.helper?
That has nothing to do with Chromium playing 4k videos. lol
Except you can use it with chromium to play 4k video. On the C2 and N2 (with crashoverride's c2play). It's not a native solution, but it works. If you don't want to play 4k from a browser, don't use it. lol

I'm 42 years old, I'm not the one that puts a ridiculous lol at the end of every post... that's you.

I've been tolerant but it's wearing thin, my son is sick, my dog died in my arms two days ago, and truthfully I've had enough. If you can't be civil without the snarkiness then do me a favor and move along.

Sorry for your loss....
I hope your son starts feeling better.
There, you made me stop lurking(after a year).
And I wish I was 42 again.

Indeed, I'm sorry for your loss...

On the bright side - you're much younger than I thought. Based on your github handle and your son's age I thought you were over 54 years old. Let me be the first to say you look at least 10 years younger :)

Thank you for the kind words, it was a difficult thing to lose my dog right now. I actually had a panic attack today just thinking about it, I've never had a panic attack before but now I know how terrible it is for people that suffer from it.

I would give anything for some sense of normality, but I know it can always be worse.

You've been under a lot of stress for a long time, so I guess that's normal.
You can't really appreciate dull/routine life until you go through something dramatic like you went through. And when life is dull for a while you start worrying that something bad is bound to happen... That's life, I guess - constantly giving you something to worry about, no matter how good/bad your life is.
Maybe the "benefit" of all this is that you skip the standard midlife crisis and don't have to replace the family stationwagon with a sports bike (at least that's how Holywood depicts it... When I'll get there I might become a rebel and specialize in C, like @crashoverride did) :)

So if I purchase a N2, will I be able to use it to:
A: open a wormhole?
B: travel through time?
C: play World of Warcraft?
D: sit on my desk and juggle electrons?

B: Yes, only forward with 1s/s speed
C: only in its boardgame format

Sorry that you're having a hard time and about your son. I recently lost a cat that was a family pet that all of us cherished. it's hard but life goes on...
Also, sorry about the "snarkiness" (I wouldn't have called it that but hey :P) and yeah you're right, I tend to put lol when I don't know what else to say.

:) :) :) :)

PS: I thought you were a lot older than 42.

A: virtual wormholes aplenty.

C: why would you want to?!
D: now that it can definitely do, especially if you place it on its side.

My son passed away on October 27, I haven't been around much since then but I continue to visit and post here and there trying to keep busy.

Just wanted to thank everyone who messaged me and gave their support over this past year, it helped to have friends. Especially @mad_ady and @phaseshifter, thank you.

Thank you all, it has been the most difficult time in my life. Watching your son wither away while fighting so hard to survive is like slowly having flesh removed, wounds that scar deep that take years to heal. My son Cody turned 21 a few months ago but there was little celebration, no accolades, just another day in the hospital to him. He went 10 months without eating or drinking due to having no stomach, had over 30 surgeries in the same amount of time, his spirit was never broken though his body was.

I will always remember his thirst for life and honor his memory, he was the best son a father could ask for and his life touched so many to be such a young man. He truly was a warrior and I can only aspire to have such strength and courage he exhibited in his short time on Earth.

It will be like the Flu ... "which CV is going 'round this year?" It's here to stay is my thought.

Makes sense then that HK keep making us new cool toys to play with ;]

Well, it's been an unusual June for me (so far). Been in a car accident yesterday (rear-ended on the highway, pushed in the guard-rail but managed to steer back to the safety-lane), but everyone walked out without injury. Unlike my previous car wreck 13 years ago which resulted in nuts and bolts in my knee cap... So I guess that's progress and I'm happy we were fine. I'm saddened about the car - my beloved 793 TCP (that's the license plate) has seen better days. Had some trouble sleeping after all that adrenaline, but hope to recover my trouble-free sleep soon. A couple of days prior I managed to lose my wallet while eating ice-cream with by elder kid. I was able to recover my ids and cards, but not the dough... C'est la vie... :)
I think $god is trying to send me a message. Not sure what it is, but I think an email would have been more appropriate...
Strangely it all correlates to me upgrading the kernel to my N1. Correlation or causation?

I hope you and your family recover from this shock soon.
I damaged my beloved Volvo some weeks ago. Nothing with hurt myself, I touched a lamppost when I drove backward. It will be costs of about 2k Euros, the repair shop told me. :( It happened when I had to wake up very early to go to a customer and shows that one should sleep enough before leaving the house.
It's a hard decision to repair a 11y old car, but who is ready to by a new car in this time no one knows what will bring the future...

Glad you made it without a scratch @mad_ady, it's bad to damage a car but injury is terrible.

I was rear ended a couple of years ago but it wasn't bad. I have been in many car accidents including meeting a tree head on at 105 kph. I hit the airbag so hard it knocked me unconscious in that one, damaged my tibial collateral ligament on my left leg sliding underneath the airbag and my knees hitting the dash.

Thank you all for your kind words and support!

Nope, that will have to be 768 UDP... Search for the meaning of the numbers and you'll see why :)

Mine was 10 and we were already thinking we should change it for something with more room in the trunk (I'm constantly trying to fit 3 bicycles inside...). We postponed the plan for after the pandemic, but we may have little choice now. The car is insured and repairs will be paid by the other party, but I might have to make the choice to scrap it and buy new. I hate it to trash something that still works, but a car's lifetime is usually 10-15 years before more serious repairs are needed, and I could benefit from 10 years worth of automotive progress... We'll see...

I sympathise... Meet me at the old-men-showing-off-injuries-from-their-youth club and I'll buy you a beer :D Hope your knees can't forecast the weather yet...

I'm happy to hear there were no injuries in the accident. It really sucks when things like that happen. My favorite car got totalled, then I spent 10 months rebuilding and modding it, and a couple years later I got rearended and it was totaled a second time bad enough to accordion the frame. That car kept me perfectly safe through both accidents. Sounds like you had a good one too.
