partition size

the partition made by ubuntu is too small like 8gb how com i get the ubuntu to use the hole disk ? without make an additional partition

It should have resized automatically on first boot. Are you using sd/emmc or a usb disk?
You can use gparted to resize your rootfs.

it is installed in usb 16 GB, I tried with gparted but I can only create a new partition that is not alocated

I think the auto-resizing feature does work with only SD and eMMC.

You can resize it as long as you're not booting from that disk (offline resize).
