Non rooted Android image
Hi, guys.
Did a little search and couldn't find any non rooted android image.
Several stream services I use complain about the rooting even after I remove it from the standard C2 image.
Any default image without root (don't need it anyway in this box)?
Att,
Will

Would you be able to share what kind of complaints are encountering?will_santana wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2019 12:06 amHi, guys.

As of now, there are no separate images for rooted and non-rooted version.

Re: Non rooted Android image
@tobetter there are some apps (banking/streaming) that refuse to start if they find a rooted device (as a precaution so you can't do stuff to the content). But there are ways around root detection (can hide root from some apps with some xposed modules)

Re: Non rooted Android image
Thank @mad_ady, I understand what kind of features or apps would have a problem not running on ODROID. My concern is that how the ways of root detection can be managed efficiently for the Android release and make ODROID works which I am not sure.

Re: Non rooted Android image
Thanks for the replies.
I've tried several ways to remove root but after every single one some streaming services still fails to start complaining about root detection.
Specially NET Now (the biggest Cable TV Provider down here in Brazil).
Don't know if it's related to the google safetynet check or something as they will never tell me wich detection method they are using.
I'll give Magisk and Xposed another go (the last one didn't work) but no big hope on it too
Thanks guys

More than likely it's the lack of widevine support, not root.will_santana wrote:Thanks for the replies.
