I noticed the Stereo Boom Bonnet!
https://wiki.odroid.com/accessory/sound/stereo_boom_bonnet

I was actually looking around today for something like that: DAC + Audio Amp for Speaker and headphones to go with an ESP32 project:
https://github.com/OtherCrashOverride/esp32-a2dp-sink

When will it be available and what is the cost?

@odroid: You should probably remove the reference to Odrobian in Images for all odroids, since the images are old and unmaintained by XeoSal.
Also, the C2 should no longer say that the software is alpha - it's been stable for over a year
The gpios are easier to find now, great!

I think I like it! It is good to have a central point to start from or to refer to.

Additional idea:
maybe there could be a list (or a choice) of projects somewhere on a corresponding product page. This list of project would not need to have its own wiki-page, but it could refer to its topic here in the forum. Just an idea, maybe its a bad one ;)
How to ask questions the smart way:

@mad_ady,
I've updated. Thank you for the points.

@crashoverride,
Yes, it will be ready to sell in a week at $12.
12pin/7pin cables are optional.

@ Jojo,
We have a plan to make a separate "Projects" page with HTML version of Magazine. But we need a few months.

Super! I'll order a bonnet to play with. Some questions about it though:
* It has a volume rocker! Sweet! Maybe you can make it clear in the description (I figured it out from the picture)
* Does audio to the speakers cut out automatically when you use the headphone jack? Do you see the headphone jack as a different audio device in pulseaudio/alsa?
* Do you get any pops and clicks when booting the OS and it is initialized? I do get them with the USB audio card.
* Can it be made to fit any enclosure you're selling (e.g. could it fit inside the VU8C?). If not, can you suggest ways of attaching it or plan to change the next batches of enclosures? It would be nice to have an enclosure with a C series, VU8C screen, audio (with headphone accessible and internal speakers) and maybe a way to hold (clip on?) an external battery/battery pack. The VU8C case already uses up one USB port, hides another one (that could hold a Wifi 0, or Bluetooth), so having internal sound would be awesome.
* Also, what are the power requirements/consumption (at full volume)?

1. I've added You can easily adjust the audio output level with a potentiometer on the board. in the product description.
2. We could hear click noise in the boot process. But the noise level is not too big.
3. If you connect a headphone plug into the jack, the speaker output is disabled automatically. It is a hard-wired control and the pulse/alsa can't handle it.
4. No. We have no plan to change the Vu8 mould toolings since we have too many enclosures in inventory.
5. Maximum power consumption is around 6Watt when we play 1Khz sine wave in full scale. But you can see some big distortion due to clipping problem.
If you reduce the volume to minimize the clipping issue, the power consumption will be around 2Watt.

Please post further questions on this sub-forum if you have.

Hi, looking at the Wiki for the Odroid C2 there is no mention of Armbian in the list of 3rd party OS images.

It may be useful to include it or a direct link as it appears to be a well supported OS with the option of nightly updates if required.

https://www.armbian.com/odroid-c2/ or https://dl.armbian.com/odroidc2/

Hi,
I was attempting to install a new image onto my eMMC card, following the instructions at https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-xu4/gettingstart/linux/install_linux however it appears that the lower part of the page is missing - is anyone able to fill it in? I've flashed the image to my eMMC using the SD adaptor, but it fails to boot in both SD & eMMC mode on my XU4. I've previously had success with the old kernel images (Arch Linux in my case), but these new images don't appear to have the sd_fusing script that I'm used to using.
Cheers

This is full flashing guide.
https://wiki.odroid.com/troubleshooting ... hing_tools

I think you have to update the kernel in Arch Linux if your eMMC chipset is 5.1
https://wiki.odroid.com/accessory/emmc/reference_chart

Which kernel version do you use with Arch Linux?
