One topic I would like to see in the magazine is using the Odroid C2 as a Handsfree device for an Android phone : in call sound is streamed from phone to Odroid, phone can be controlled (answer / hang up a call) from an application on the Odroid etc.

Although this topic is very cool and will make a great upcoming article, would you mind moving the CarPC discussion to another thread? I want to keep this one more on-topic for general article suggestions. Just link the new thread below :)

I've split the topic and moved it to C2 - Projects forum: http://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?f=140&t=25539 I chose Ubuntu CarPC as a topic name, hope that's fine with you all :)

Thanks Meveric... in the meantime I had already created a new thread in C2 / Ubuntu for the GPS navigation software. The "project topic" is OK and i'll point to the GPS thread for this particular issue.

MicroCenter has the Google AIY Voice Kit on sale for $10. I plan on getting one and trying to fit it to an ODROID C1+. Will probably write an article on it. It's not the same ecosystem as Alexa (Amazon), but pretty darn close.

Looks like Brian Kim beat me to it--he wrote an excellent article on using the Google Assistant SDK in the Nov 2017 magazine: https://magazine.odroid.com/article/goo ... -platform/

The Voice Kit would only differ from this article in the section on setting up the hardware.

Here's what I'd like to see - an article with a list of roles where odroids were used - from tests in outer space, to network test devices, to car dashboards, to seismographs, to rc cars, to submarine detectors, etc.
Maybe there should be a thread asking "what is the most unusual way you've used your odroid"?
