I'm not sure if this is due to broken gpu drivers but after the latest update, kodi and emulationstation do not work on my c-0 with ogs. Chromium does work fine though.

I removed the files and did a reinstall with no luck. Nothing happens when I click on kodi, emulationstation or retroarch, it just stays on the desktop.

Edit: reverting the mali450-odroid to the previous version makes kodi work again.
I have an other question if you don't mind... Retroarch has never worked for me; everytime i click on it I just get a black screen indefinitely. How would I fix that?

How did you "revert" this? And if reverting really worked, then you do not have the current Kernel, and that's probably why the new GPU drivers don't work.
The new Kernel drivers do not work with the OLD GPU drivers and the old Kernel drivers don't work with the NEW GPU drivers.
So if the OLD GPU drivers still work, that means you have the OLD Kernel installed and that is why the new GPU drivers weren't working.
Did you do a apt-get dist-upgrade as well, or just apt-get upgrade?
Pinotte wrote:I have an other question if you don't mind... Retroarch has never worked for me; everytime i click on it I just get a black screen indefinitely. How would I fix that?
Normally you don't have to "click" on retroarch, it's started from a frontend such as emulationstation or Kodi. Starting it alone should work as well, but is normally not the way to do it.
Please make sure you've done a FULL system upgrade:

Code: Select all

apt-get update && apt-get upgrade && apt-get dist-upgrade
only with that you will have a fully working image, or else you might miss important updates.

Thank you Meveric.
You were right, everything works with a dist-upgrade.

Notes taken sorry about that.

Thanks for awesome work you are doing by the way! I'm building something very cool with my c0 and it wouldn't have been possible without ogs. I'll make sure to post about it in the ogs thread when I'm done.

Are you manually creating tvheadends version string? I can't get the version to work on master.

Sorry to stuff up your thread with a question, just you are a deb packaging machine.

The Autobuild.sh script is handling all the magic.. TVHeadend is really easy to compile in most cases :)
It also creates the version string and everything.

I have no issue compiling it, just when using master the version string is 0.0.0. Not really an issue more an OCD thing, I also use Autobuild.sh to build my package. Thanks anyway.

I got it, thanks.

Had to do this:

Code: Select all

git fetch origin
git reset --hard origin/master
A simple git clone, cd and build wasn't working.

2016-12-02:
  • new package rt5572-dkms:all
    in all/main package list
-> Alternative drivers for WiFi Module 4 from HardKernel (should support rt3573 rt3572 rt2870 rt5370 chipsets besides rt5572 of the WiFi Module 4)
ATTENTION!!! This driver needs the "coherent_buffer=2M" as an option in your bootargs, or else the driver can't be loaded (it will most likely flood your debug messages which causes the system to be unusable if you don't have that option)
You also need to blacklist rt2800usb rt2800lib rt2x00usb rt2x00lib which are build-in modules from HardKernel
Please Note: If you use my Debian Jessie images for XU3/XU4,C1 or C2 you now have an option within setup-odroid that will take care of the setup of this driver.
  • updated setup-odroid package
    in jessie/main package list
    • General
      • update youtube plugin to version 5.3.2
      • added support for alternative Wifi Module 4 Kernel drivers

/usr/include/KHR/khrplatform.h from mali450-fbdev-odroid 20160527-r6p1-1 is missing a typedef for khronos_uintptr_t. Any chance of adding it?

Also, I think khronos_intptr_t and khronos_ssize_t are incorrectly defined for a 64bit platform...
