Dead USB 3.0 ports on XU3

I bought this XU3 quite a while ago in 2015. made many comments about it on this forum, i wrote in another subforum about chrome DRM just a few days ago. the USB 3.0 was fine at that time.
today i plugged the ethernet adapter in, silence. not even the power LED lights up on it. tried plugging in a usb 2.0 device, still nothing. it supplies absolutely no power to any sorta device, and the same is the case with the microUSB otg port.
the usb 2.0 side and built in ethernet work fine, thankfully. but on 3.0, not even lsusb shows them up. the 3.0 adapter surely works. tried it on the 2.0 hub as well as my PC, which has native 3.0.

here's the output of lsusb when the ethernet dongle is plugged in (only a keyboard in the 2.0 hub):
odroid@odroid:~$ lsusb
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 045e:0800 Microsoft Corp.
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0424:ec00 Standard Microsystems Corp. SMSC9512/9514 Fast Ethernet Adapter
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0424:9514 Standard Microsystems Corp. SMC9514 Hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

here's lsusb -t when an ax88179 is inserted
odroid@odroid:~$ lsusb -t
/: Bus 04.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci-hcd/1p, 5000M
/: Bus 03.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci-hcd/1p, 480M
/: Bus 02.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=exynos-ohci/3p, 12M
/: Bus 01.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=exynos-ehci/3p, 480M
|__ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/5p, 480M
|__ Port 1: Dev 3, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=smsc95xx, 480M
|__ Port 2: Dev 4, If 0, Class=Human Interface Device, Driver=usbhid, 12M
|__ Port 2: Dev 4, If 1, Class=Human Interface Device, Driver=usbhid, 12M
|__ Port 2: Dev 4, If 2, Class=Human Interface Device, Driver=usbhid, 12M

so basically nothing. i don't think the pad cleaning method would do anything here, because there's literally no power going to either the usb 3.0 A or micro OTG port.

it's not a new board for sure, but i find it a bit weird to have such fault, haven't really found anything like it.
thanks for the understanding

Probably your PSU could be getting old.
It is worth to measure the voltage of 5V0 power rail on the 30pin header with a DMM while your XU3 boots.
It must be stable at 4.8~5.2Volt.

XU3 30pin header pin map is fully compatible with XU4.
