6A power with SSD drive?

Unread post by genegun » Mon Sep 24, 2018 10:38 pm

I have read that if using a 2,5" drive, it was recommended to switch to a 6A power. Right now, I have the original power on and it seems to work seamlessly with the XU4 and the SSD drive. I am considering purchasing the 6A power but part of my thinks "if it ain't broken, don't fix it". Should I really be switching power sources? Thanks

No, 4A is plenty for ssd attached. Mechanical drives usually need more juice.
