Ask help about the Odroid-XU4 hardware
My Odroid-XU4 is not working anymore.Power on my Odroid-XU4,only the red light is on,the blue light does not light or flash, the fan does not turn anymore.
But I heard a slight creaking sound under the fan.
When a new system burned to my Odroid-XU4,the problem is still not solved.
I think the hardware of my Odroid-XU4 is broken.
What should I do for this situation?
How can I solve my problem?
I want to send it back to the factory for repair.what should I do?
But I heard a slight creaking sound under the fan.

What I can suggest you is to flash an image to new micro SD card or eMMC and try to boot again, double check the boot selector switch. If you do have a USB-to-SERIAL cable, try to capture a log if there is anything from ODROID-XU4. If nothing luck, you could consider to send it to Hardkernel for hardware checking but you would pay for packing and delivery.csroccv wrote:My Odroid-XU4 is not working anymore.Power on my Odroid-XU4,only the red light is on,the blue light does not light or flash, the fan does not turn anymore.

I have flash an image to new micro SD card and try to boot again, but the problem is still not solved.
"If you do have a USB-to-SERIAL cable, try to capture a log if there is anything from ODROID-XU4. "How to capture a log ? Which pin should the USB-to-SERIAL cable be connected to? Can you give a schematic about the connection?

Please find the link for UART connection, you can set the baud rate as 115200bps, no parity, 1 stop bit as well as no hardware flow control. You can capture the initial log from any serial terminal in your PC, and your board would be faulty if there is no log at all.csroccv wrote:I have flash an image to new micro SD card and try to boot again, but the problem is still not solved.

I have connected my ODROID-XU4 to my PC by a USB-to-SERIAL cable, and done like this"set the baud rate as 115200bps, no parity, 1 stop bit as well as no hardware flow control",but nothing received in my PC.

Re: Ask help about the Odroid-XU4 hardware
If there is nothing from ODROID-XU4 in the serial terminal and even the fan is not running, probably your board is damage for some reason or it does not fetch the bootloader from SD card or eMMC. Where did you purchase it and when?csroccv wrote:I have connected my ODROID-XU4 to my PC by a USB-to-SERIAL cable, and done like this"set the baud rate as 115200bps, no parity, 1 stop bit as well as no hardware flow control",but nothing received in my PC.
