Unread postby Murali » Tue May 29, 2018 2:57 pm

Hi,
We are using wifi module 5 along with XU4 for our tests and would like to know if we can get FCC id as well as FCC / CE test reports for wifi module 5.
Thanks and Regards

I will request it to our supplier in China.
It may take a week. Give me a ping in the middle of next week again.

BTW, what do you make with XU4 and WiFi module 5?
where is your company? in the US?

Hi,
Our company Ittiam Systems's R&D is out of India but we serve customers mostly in EU and US region plus some in APAC and LATAM.
We are testing XU4 plus wifi module 5 for a IoT kind of product.
I will re-check with you regarding certification by middle of next week.

Thanks a lot for your quick response. I was able to access the test reports.
The module picture / photos in test report is different from what we get when we order (color and markings).
But I am assuming as long as the internal board and design are same this report will apply to the module we get as well.
Thanks and Regards

Hi,
This is the CE report for this device just like the FCC report / ID you provided us.
From the model number provided it appears that this module also has a equivalent CE certification.
Thanks for your support.

@Murali

I believe what odroid needs is for you to find out what information you need and ask it all in the same question.

You keep asking for different things at different times.

Hi,
Sure, I will send out as much a complete list as possible to minimize the traffic and support overheads in this forum.
Sometimes we realize the shortage of documents once we receive the documents from forum posts.

Hi,
I do see that wifi module 5 has been moved to obsolete part, any reason?
Also what is the recommended part from Odroid instead of wifi module 5 for XU4?

New WiFi 11AC module will be available in November.
Meanwhile, you can still buy WiFi module 5 from Ameridroid.

Hi,
Thanks for a prompt reply as soon as you returned from holiday break. Do you know if this will be a certified part (FCC/CE/RoHS)?
Is there a model number we can get for the same.
As we are currently deploying the units, we just placed an order for 200 units of Odroid (two weeks back, which got shipped) but we could get only 80 wifi module 5. For the remaining if we are to use the new one, we need to know if it will be compatible plus have all features of wifi module 5. We will need to ensure our s/w works with new devices and is compliant to countries in which we use this.

We will have more 200pcs of WiFi module 5 by the end of next week.
I'll make a post reply once we are ready to sell it.

We are doing some certification process with the new model.
But it is hard to tell you a firm schedule at this moment.

Hi,
I do see that the wifi module 5 is not on connectivity list again. Also there was a plan to get new connectivity module as indicated in your sep 27 post, any news on that?
