USB3 speeds SSD --> SSD.

Unread postby helloha » Sun Jan 15, 2017 1:11 am

Hi, any idea what the USB3 transfer speeds would be? I'm looking for a solution that enables me to copy data from one external SSD to another external SSD over USB3. I'm wondering how the USB3 speeds compare to those of a normal desktop. Many thanks for the info!

Due to the limited internal bus architecture, the USB 3.0 speed is limited at around 160MB/sec.
If you use two USB 3.0 storages, the copy transfer speed will be 80MB/sec approximately.

This also means that Network --> SSD will also be limited atmost 80MB/s?
