Alternative power connector for XU4?

Unread post by simultux » Fri Jan 11, 2019 6:03 am

Is there a way to provide the 5V power to the Odroid XU4 through one of the headers, maybe Pind 1+2 on Con11?
If not, how much power can the board supply to peripherials over USB3 or connector headers or combined?
I am working on a project where a XU4 controls a number of precission sensors and want to avoid to use two power supplies for one enclosure.
thanks in advance for your help.

You can apply power to the 5V header but this bypasses over voltage protection, the device is easily damaged like this.
