Re: [OS] Debian Stretch
Switched to a new (and better) SD card and to Debian Buster as well. Looks good so far... Only error message I could find after apt-get update and upgrade:
ln: failed to create hard link '/boot/initrd.img-4.14.180+.dpkg-bak' => '/boot/initrd.img-4.14.180+': Operation not permitted
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-4.14.180+
What does it tell me?

Re: [OS] Debian Stretch
that is fine and can be ignored.
It tries to create a hard link on the bootfs, but since that is a fat partition it doesn't support hard links.. it's harmless and can be ignored.

Great, thanks! Installed nextcloud successfully... Now struggling with installation of OMV, producing error messages around nginx - but this is probably another thread...

Re: [OS] Debian Stretch
you could install screen and start the process in screen session..
even if you end up with a broken pipe the session keeps running.

Re: [OS] Debian Stretch
nope looks fine.. the last lines just mean that the point release version of Debian 10 changed from 10.7 to 10.8.
It's fine, nothing to worry about.

Re: [OS] Debian Stretch
finally and in the end the half-installed dkms blocked apt full-upgrade so I plugged in monitor/keyboard and started
Code: Select all
dpkg --configure -a
Now wireguard is up and running
Code: Select all
wg show
interface: wg0
public key: key=
private key: (hidden)
listening port: 12345
peer: key2=
endpoint: 10.10.10.29:65432
allowed ips: 10.1.9.2/32
latest handshake: 1 minute, 8 seconds ago
transfer: 175.41 KiB received, 800.74 KiB sent

...hope the next full-upgrade will run headless via ssh, but I fear it will fail again when installing wireguard.
kind regards

Re: [OS] Debian Stretch
fwiw, updating this Buster image to a 5.10 kernel will actually end in catch 22, as then no wireguard will be possible at all, as no wireguard-tools are in the Buster repos... wuuuuhh....
kind regards

Re: [OS] Debian Stretch
Yeah, upstream doesn't quite work yet.
Even if you build specific Kernel for Exynos, it's missing some features.
