[Solved] Updates broke Kodi

Just wanted to ask about this mornings updates, 17 of them, something is preventing Kodi from starting. I think it gave me a libgel error. any help is appreciated.

Do you use Ubuntu 18.04? or 16.04?

Ok here is what i get when I try and start kodi in a terminal

MESA-LOADER: failed to retrieve device information
libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to open exynos (search paths /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/dri:${ORIGIN}/dri:/usr/lib/dri)

Sorry missed your post. I am on 18.04
I updated last friday and all was fine. This morning i updated and now have this kodi problem.
I used sudo apt update and sudo apt upgrade for the update.

I have the same problem, which prevents me from using kde plasma.
I'm on the latest official odroid ubuntu 18.04
Mate is working and es2info displays:

Canonical's recent EGL update package broke the Mali GPU drivers. :(

Fix it with the following two commands.

sudo apt download mali-x11
sudo dpkg -i mali-x11*.deb

BTW, user @AreaScount let us know a simpler command sudo apt-get install mali-x11 --reinstall.

Great, I finally found the one-liner fix!

I wonder how many other ppls video is broken with no idea why or how to fix?
