Stuck in Single User Mode

I turned on my ODROID-XU4 yesterday night and I can't get passed "Single User mode".

I get the output:

proc: Bad value for 'hidepid'
Give root password for maintenance
(or press Control-D to continue):

When I press Control-D then I get another output:
sulogin: input overrun at /dev/tty1

Whenever I try to reboot, it always goes to this console.... how can I approach this problem?

You should probably enter root password (odroid if not changed) and investigate logs (dmesg, /var/log/messages, /var/log/syslog). If it's complaining it can't mount the rootfs, you should run fsck on it.

I ordered an eMMC that had Pre-installed Ubuntu.

You should probably enter root password (odroid if not changed) and investigate logs (dmesg, /var/log/messages, /var/log/syslog). If it's complaining it can't mount the rootfs, you should run fsck on it.

I investigated dmesg and queried all the error messages.

Freshly flash the OS image (a link in my previous reply) into your eMMC.

I do not have an emmc-to-microSD adapter. Can I order an alternative via Amazon? I want it to arrive rather quickly so that I can perform this installation.
