For Android? Android is not flexible enough to customize, you would be better to share what device you are willing to use and how...if your sound device does not work.

For USB sound card:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N9 ... UTF8&psc=1
For USB microphone:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XU ... UTF8&psc=1
Should I change something in Setting, or download some 3rd party app in order to use the sound card? Appreciate the help

If the devices I provided aren't supported, could anyone provide a supported device on Android? or is it even possible to use a sound card in Android?

This USB sound dongle works out of the box and other dongles are not tested.
https://www.hardkernel.com/main/product ... 1629380416

As described in the link, the dongle uses CM108AH as an audio controller which is based on 48kHz sample rate for playing and recording and this is an important fact to choose a USB sound dongle since Android for XU4 has fixed sample rate as 48kHz internally. Based on this, the sound card you have posted does support 48kHz and at the same time, it also supports 96kHz which means its sound card can select a variable sample rate by software which is not supported Android for XU4.

Thanks. The USB audio adapter is not available on Amazon...Does any sound card with cm108ah chip would be suitable in this case? also, would this webCam work out of box too? https://www.amazon.com/ODROID-USB-Cam-7 ... d_wg=VwPdJ

Where are you located? If you are in North Ameria, you would be able to purchase from https://ameridroid.com/, Hardkernel's distributor.

Also, the USB cam you posted will work out of the box but please note that it doesn't support video recording.

Just got the USB audio adapter, works out of box.
But it will take over the HDMI audio output. Is there a way to keep HDMI output?

Do you mean simultaneous audio output on HDMI and USB dongle? If so, it's not supported.

Hi, besides the odroid usb-cam 720p listed on the website, is there any other USB cams can be used on the XU4?

Most all 'UVC' capable USB cameras should work.

Can I use this display? What do I do with the GPIO pins? Leave them alone or take the black module out and expose the pins then plugin to XU4? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F3 ... UTF8&psc=1

Touchscreen on the display will not work since the GPIO pins are not compatible.
Consider using a VU5A display.

Nice, with audio output too. One more question: If I use a soundcard to connet a microphone(no speaker, https://ameridroid.com/products/usb-audio-adapter), HDMI will lose audio output. How do I prevent that from happening with this display?

You might need to tweak audio_policy.conf file.

Which Android version do you use on XU4?
Which USB devices are connected to your XU4?
