I disabled the updates from google play and now I can enter, but in the search you can't find the apps like kodi, p2p, and others, what do I do?

Do I have to fully install this build before registering the Android framework ID? I'm really new to this stuff.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Got this installed but it's running from SD card which is much slower than the EMMC.
Tried installing it using the SD2EMMC image and then downloading the 0.4 Alpha update but it doesn't work.

My process was:
Download & write Android 8 Oreo SD image to SD card
Go through set up and sign in, register device ID
Enter URL for 0.4 Alpha in to the Updater, download, validate, extract, restart for update
Android TV starts.

Am i missing a step where it's moved from SD to EMMC or doesn't it just have to be run from SD card?

Hello, I can't install ATV version.

I installed LineageOS-15.1 Android 8.1 Oreo in my eMMc (https://oph.mdrjr.net/voodik/5422/ODROI ... 18.img.zip)
I register my Android framework ID, waited some time (30-60 minutes) then reboot Odroid and I added Google Account correctly.
I go to odroid updater, change url to https://oph.mdrjr.net/voodik/5422/ODROI ... update.zip
Download, validate file, extract and finally restart for update.
Odroid reboots but the version is not updated.

Do I need to check format user data, format fat and clear uboot env?

Thanks in advance.

Odroid-XU4 does not support 4K resolution.
Maximum 1080p.

Hello, I'm new here (forgive the quality of the google translator, there are no good forums like this in Portuguese)

When I try to update using ODROID-updater it downloads the entire file but when it finishes it appears "download faill, check your site" I tried to do the whole process anyway but it keeps restarting infinitely. can anybody help me?
I almost forgot, the google apps worked even before I registered

The site is hosted by Odroid and not by voodik, so the links can change. FYI, you can enter a custom URL in the bar of the updater to one of your choosing.

What do people use as remotes/pointers? I'm using a mouse and it's having issues in some screens. It won't work with the volume or anything like that. I have a Rii remote too, but it seems a bit clunky.

I'm running into an issue with HDMI output. The sound volume seems to be extremely low (I have to set the TV volume to 50~80 to hear anything).
Is there a way to tweak or configure this? Either through adb or .config files?
Thanks! It works great btw.

My Samsung TV IR remote works out of the box (weird but awesome). Mouse also works ok but I found out that you have to aim your clicks a little lower on icons, it's probably an artifact of the touchscreen driver.
You might also be able to install a bluetooth controller app on it, and if nothing works Amazon has a lot of wireless USB remotes that work with Android TV

Most likely it's CEC at work - your tv is forwarding ir events to your odroid, over hdmi.

EDIT: Also, I'm trying to connect a PS3 (generic) controller to the Odroid my no Luck, it doesn't seem to recognize it neither through USB cable or bluetooth. Am I missing something?

Hey, I'm having a problem of apps being stuck in "Install pending" state for hours on end.

I got ExpressVPN, Plex, Prime Video, RetroArch and Termux installed, but I'd like to change my launcher.

Developing roms for these old socs isn't easy and it's very time consuming. If it was that simple you could do it yourself.

I realize this thread is quite old, but I'm going nuts...

I have my Odroid XU4 all setup with Lineage 15 and ATV. I'm going INSANE. Every time I get to a point where I'd have to type something either in the OS or an app, I get stuck on the "tap to speak" screen. I don't have a microphone setup and I can't get out of it. I have to unplug my XU4 every time. Is there a way to deactivate this?
