Hi voodik,
just a quick FIY, i forked your lineage sources and reworked usb_modeswitch to compile the 2.5.2 release from source instead of using the provided binary.
Also updated the corresponding configs and created a small bash one shot script wich should work as a one shot service at boot time if disable ethernet=1 in build prop.
The stuff is not fully tested yet, it builds, and you can have a look if you like and pull in changes to your worktree if you want: https://github.com/psych0d0g/android

Thank you for your work so far :)

I think you installed Android on SD card. You need to try with faster SD but still is huge performance difference between SD an eMMC.

Alright, I fixed the issues I had with modifying the ROM. The only remaining issue is that the ROMs I build don't seem to work with Wifi USB dongles, and specifically one based off of the Realtek RTL8812AU chipset. It works fine on an Ubuntu 18.04 box, as well as the official image. Any ideas about why? Maybe the kernel was built differently somehow, I just don't know how to check/change that further.

I see my device listed on drivers/net/wireless/rtl8812AU/os_dep/linux/usb_intf.c: {USB_DEVICE(0x2357, 0x010D),.driver_info = RTL8812}, /* TP-Link - Archer T4U AC1300 */
Also I see the module is being built and is present on the kernel build output. So... any ideas?

I bought a monitor with a 15 inch touchscreen. Installed, put the IDC file, vid and pid present. However, the touchscreen is shifted within the angle of the monitor. X resolution from 0 to 41 pixels. It works in a small square, as if the touchscreen thinks that the screen resolution is 41x19 pixels. Tell me what to do

Your touch screen seems to be a very low resolution input device.
Can you try it on XU4 Ubuntu 18.04 OS image to narrow down root causes?

I am trying to control the board via ADB, but I have been having some problems

I have enabled ADB over network in the developer settings, but as soon as I send the command adb shell input keyevent KEYCODE_POWER, to lock or unlock the screen I lose my connection, I notice that when I sent again the same command to unlock the screen, then I get the following error

>adb shell input keyevent KEYCODE_POWER
error: closed

this happens just after the device has been restarted. I have gotten the logcat from the device and I noticed that the ethernet connection is down by some reason, if I connect again to the same device and send the command once again, then it works without any problem. Could you help to check the error.

Best Regards

I don't get this errors maybe because of my Router does not support IPv6.
Can you disable IPv6 on your router and check again ? To understand where is root cause.

Sorry to bump my issue, but does anyone have a hint for why networking in general fails on my own builds? Or at least, can someone point me in the direction of how to create an SD-based .img from my own build? I am doing it as per my previous posts, but something must not be right.

I just updated my XU-4 to the newest version dated 5.29.2019 and now my keyboard does not work. It is a Logitech k270 with keyboard and mouse. The keyboard worked before the update, but now only the mouse works...

Ideas?

Now you can use USB 3G/4G modems with HiLink firmware (e.g.Huawei E3372).
Hello.
Please tell me, will the Huawei E8372 rise by USB on this firmware?

Re: LineageOS-14.1 Android 7.1.1 Nougat for ODROID-XU3/XU4

Unread post by boroda » Tue Oct 01, 2019 1:00 pm

I have an E3372h -153. HiLink firmware.
Lsusb shows 12d1: 1566
On Windows, it is immediately defined as NDIS
VID PID 12d1: 1566
I tried
cat / dev / ttyUSB0 &
echo AT> / dev / ttyUSB0
The data is coming.
If in build.prop and install
ro.disable.ethernet = 1, RJ45 falls off but the network does not rise on ttyUSB0 :(
Help me please.

In windows dashboard software switching it authomaticaly to NDIS mode.

If it not recignized in Android as eth0 interface google about usb_modeswitch.

I have another trouble now))
After upgrading to Alpha-2.0_29.05.19
Resolution 800x480 looks strange)
If you put 1080p then everything is fine.

Why still not latest version ? Its not incremental updates. you can update from every version to any version.

EDIT:

Sorry i misunderstood. So you can confirm in last version 800X480 not working ?
