Unread postby matth122 » Wed Jul 12, 2017 1:59 am

Hello, I'm new with odroid and I have some troubles and I didn't find possible answers in any android threads.
I have Odroid-XU4 board with eleduino 7 inch Capacitive touchscreen1024X600
http://www.eleduino.com/7-0-Inch-1024x600-Pixel-IPS-Hdmi-Input-Capacitive-Touch-Screen-Support-Raspberry-pi-Banana-Pi-Pro-Be-p10533.html ,
the video work good without any change, but the touch is not working.
lsusb give me ID 0eef:0005 like the VU-7,
i try to diseable vu-7 in boot.ini but nothing change
i try the screen with windows and linux-mint (the touch work) and they find a D-wav scientific Co.
tested with latest ubuntu for XU4 touch work good
I have enable the touch point in the developer option and sometime when i touch the screen some point appear but not where i touch the screen.
Does my problem can be resolved or must i change screen ?
Ps. sorry for my bad english I'm French

We've tried this 1280x800 display which has ID 0eef:0005 too.
http://www.waveshare.com/product/module ... europe.htm

It worked well on our latest Android 4.4 image once we changed the boot.ini file like this.
Code: Select all
setenv disable_vu7 "true"

There should "hid-multitouch" in Ubuntu if your touchscreen works on Ubuntu.
Did you type "lsmod" after checking the touchscreen functionality?

Very weird.
hid_multitouch and dwav_usb_mt were loaded together.
What happens if you run "sudo rmmod dwav_usb_mt"?
Does the touchscreen still work?

I think something is wrong in Voodik's Lineage OS.
Try our official Android 4.4 image.
http://odroid.com/dokuwiki/doku.php?id= ... _note_v5.0
If it works, let's report this issue to Voodik.

Unfortunately my touchscreen doesn't work with your official android 4.4 ...

Here is a screenshot of lsmod with android 4.4
https://1drv.ms/i/s!Aqnfv1comaXUo8on-XRdl3Z9-bi6oA

I have updated Ubuntu software by using software update in the menu.
Now my touchscreen don't work anymore.

Check below items in boot.ini file on Ubuntu.
Code: Select all
# Enable/Disable ODROID-VU7 Touchsreen
setenv disable_vu7 "false" # false

Show us your boot.ini file on Android 4.4 too.

Code: Select all
setenv bootargs     "fb_x_res=${fb_x_res} fb_y_res=${fb_y_res} hdmi_phy_res=${hdmi_phy_res} edid=${edid} hpd=${hpd} led_blink=${led_blink} disable_vu7=${disable_vu7} touch_invert_x=${touch_invert_x} touch_invert_y=${touch_invert_y}"

We've tested it and we can confirm it worked with Android 4.4 image.
Did you use a plain text editor like Notepad++ or EditPlus?

If the blue LED is solid on, one of boot files could be corrupted.
Please freshly flash the latest Android 4.4 image and try it again.

Okay. Please try again.
When you flash the OS image use "Etcher".

i always use Etcher when i flash my sd.
i will try a new flash when i go back home tonight.

Edit:

IT WORK !!! Im So happy ...
For android 4.4 but don't work with lineage 14.1
I have flash my SD, wait for boot, change the resolution by 1200x600p and turn off
I have edited the boot.ini and just added. "disable_vu7=${disable_vu7} " at the end of the " setenv bootargs "
like this
Code: Select all
setenv disable_vu7 "true"

setenv bootargs     "fb_x_res=${fb_x_res} fb_y_res=${fb_y_res} hdmi_phy_res=${hdmi_phy_res} edid=${edid} hpd=${hpd} led_blink=${led_blink} disable_vu7=${disable_vu7}"

Many thanks for your help.
