Using Korean on Kodi 16.1/Ubuntu 16.04 with XU4(SOLVED)

It might be silly to post Korean language issue to this board. but I couldn't find any clues to solve this.
Most of all, I googled a lot to solve this, but eventually failed.

To see Korean properly in Kodi, I did change the settings from System -> Settings -> Appearance -> Skin -> Fonts -> Arial Based and System -> Settings -> Appearance -> International -> Language -> Korean

But, when I have changed the language settings from English to Korean, all of the characters just turned into stupid broken boxes. But funny thing is my windows box and android cell phone works perfect with above setting. Is there any solution for this?

Problem solved.

Most of all, it was arial.ttf font problem. I don't know why it shows stupid boxes instead of showing Korean characters, but that was the starting point.

Code: Select all

cd /usr/share/kodi/media/Fonts
mv arial.ttf arial.ttf.old
ln -s /usr/share/fonts/truetype/unfonts-core/UnGraphic.ttf arial.ttf
You can change 'UnGraphic.ttf' to others, only if the font has Korean fonts in it.
