Debian Wheezy Image No Sound

Unread post by csab3266 » Fri Apr 26, 2013 11:43 pm

Hi,

i use the debian wheezy Image (xfce image). Everything is working fine, except the sound system. The problem seems that there is no sound driver?

Can anybody help me?

The Debian Wheezy image set uses stock hardkernel kernel configs. The sound driver is built-in. I installed some additional packages and I can play a .wav at least:

2013-04-26 12:19:28 install pkg-config:armhf <none> 0.26-1+b1
2013-04-26 12:19:57 install gstreamer0.10-tools:armhf <none> 0.10.36-1.2
2013-04-26 12:20:09 install gstreamer0.10-plugins-base-apps:armhf <none> 0.10.36-1.1
2013-04-26 12:20:40 install gstreamer0.10-x:armhf <none> 0.10.36-1.1
2013-04-26 12:20:51 install gstreamer0.10-plugins-base-dbg:armhf <none> 0.10.36-1.1

Use mixer app to configure the output

Hi csab3266,

add your user to group audio, e.g.:

Code: Select all

usermod -a -G audio user
Then re-login or restart and audio will be available.

greets
