drawings for SHOW-2

Unread post by pjnoxon1 » Sat May 19, 2018 4:55 pm

HI

I have designed an interface schematic to go with the SHOW-2 for
a little project I am working on. Where do I find mechanical
drawings for the SHOW2? I think it is the same dimensions as my
U3, isn't that right? It would be great to have drawings to put
into my PCB creation software, or at least dimensions of the
board with the placement of the screw holes.

thanks - prof James

I found drawings for the U3 and they seem to be accurate for the SHOW2

83mm X 48mm o.d.
76mm X 41mm hole centers

They are slightly different.
We will upload the SHOW2 PCB drawings on a WiKi page and let you know the link.

Thanks a lot -

I almost ordered PCBs and they would have been off a bit.
Now I have 5 show2 I bought from Ameridroid. I am ready to code.
Can you help me a little bit please? I could use my U3 but as it is less
portable than my windows laptops I would like to use them to code,
that way I can sit on the couch and watch baseball, well I don't pay
much attention to the game necessarily but it is comfortable.

I understand that I need to install the Arduino IDE, which I did figure out.
When I run it, the menus are File Edit Sketch Tools Help
then icons check right paper up down

Then I need to get the source code for show2 into the IDE.
If that is right, can you describe how to do that on Windows?

I found this link someplace: https://github.com/hardkernel/ODROID-SHOW
but I'm not sure this is the right one, or how to use it now that I am there...

Does one use the ISP header or the USB?

thanks muchos - PJ

You can run Arduino IDE on your Windows Laptop as you did with U3.
Search google for it.

To download some examples/libraries from the Github, Use "Clone or Download" menu in that page you pointed.

Also refer this WiKi page too.
