U3 Fan Power Supply

Unread postby Janos » Tue Jan 07, 2014 3:18 am

How much power can the on board fan supply safely provide?

Can it manage a fan at 5V 260mA?

I don't have the U3 schematic here.. but.. if we used the same PBRN123 it should be ~600ma
However I'll let odroid clarify that

Let me just hide myself in shame :(

Yes.. same FET.. unless odroid has an objection.. I would say that 300ma is safe.. and up to 600ma is doable.
This is however the transistor datasheet :)
