Blink LED example on oscilloscope

Unread post by drganjoo » Fri Dec 09, 2016 12:28 am

I am new to the Odroid platform and wrote a small sample for blinking a LED every 500ms using the wiringPi. The code works but when I hook up an oscilloscope on the pin instead of a LED, I get the attached weird trace. The yellow trace is from the XU4 where as the same code running on the PI has the blue trace.

Am I missing something in the code or the way I'v hooked up the scope?

This only happens if I've connected it to through the shifter shield. If I connect directly to the CON10, it works perfectly.

We will try to reproduce the issue soon.

BTW, did you capture the waveform without LED?
The max output current from the shifter-shield is only 4mA and it might not be enough to drive a normal LED.

Yes, I captured the waveform without any LED attached.

I see. I think your shifter shield seems to have a hardware issue.
Did you buy the Shifter-shield from us directly?
Or from a distributor/reseller?
