Need more free space on system partition. Вы просто гигант! Но мало очень места под пррииложения.

Всплыла причина! Неправильно определяется свободная память на системном разделе. В итоге пишет, что мало места.

Does this release have all the fixes from http://dn.odroid.com/4412/Android/4.4.4 ... /ODROID-U/ like the R3P1 driver?

What is the right way to update to this version ?
With the Odroid updater App and the link here to the new update.zip
i can update, but after that i stay always at version 4.4.4...
(I test is more times, with format all, without/with bootloader and so on)
So, what i need to do, to update to this version.

Thank you for your help.

Best regards,

So i installed version v4.5 instead. With this version, the android is booting.
But from this version i can not directly update to the version from voodik here.
So, after first boot i run the odroid updater app and install the version v4.7 from there.
This is working.
After that update i update to the version from here and that works.
Great :-)

I someone have the same problems for a new clean install, you can do as i described.
1. write image from sd installer v4.5 on the sd card
2. after first run, start odroid updater app, klick get version info und run that update (v4.7)
3. after first boot of v4.7 start odroid updater app, klick get version info
(so that the downlod button is enabled) and then change the path to the update
from voodik here (first post)
4. Enjoy Android 5.1.1 :-)

Thanks voodik for this great version !

A question about that. Is it possible to get the source codes of your version here via git or other way ?
I want to build an CarPC and this version is perfect for that. But i need to add some hardware drivers
(can bus by example). So i need the sources from kernel/android to rebuild.

MrWeb

Build from source
Code: Select all
$ repo init -u git://github.com/voodik/android.git -b cm-12.1_4412
$ repo sync
$ ./build.sh odroidu
Output images location /tmp/odroidu/

Thank you very much voodik for the sources.
The comile was successful :-)

But i have the first problem and i think you can get me this information.
I need to use the hdmi output in 480p mode.
For that i need to change this in the androud sources (this i have made already)
and in the kernel config.
How i can run the kernel menuconfig from the build tree ?
I think you know that, for your driver includes/changes .....

Have you some links with informations about the android build system ?
By example, to add configuration dialogs in the andoid system...
Sorry for my questions, i can compile everything and develop software, but for building
an android system i am a newbie at the moment.
(Sorry for my bad english...)

Hi Voodik,

Great Build but can't make netflix work so It's a no go for me.

I seems like a common bug as seen in other forums. (loading issue)

I will be grateful if you manage to fix It.

Keep the good Work!

For wifi module 3 you don't need change anything in built.prop
it using rtl8192cu module, and it set by default.
revert your build.prop and set
Code: Select all
wlan.modname=rtl8192cu

This link here says WiFi 3 is based on 8188cus chipset

I tested the same with default(8192cu) build.prop and it does not work.

It's not full logcat, open root access from dev settings and before logcat run su command in terminal.
for exclude spam from logs please run this command.

reboot device, open terminal and enter
Code: Select all
su
logcat | grep -v android_ws > /sdcard/logcat.log

try to enable wifi, wait 5-10 sec
close terminal, upload log

Depending your log wifi hal trying to load rtl8188cus driver. Check your build.prop twice, its only need to have a one line wlan.modname=rtl8192cu .

Any ideas why Wifi Module 4 wouldn't work? Tried using the rt2800usb driver but no good.

Wifi 4 is a Ralink RT5572N.

Because RT55xx driver is aviable from kernel version 3.10, our kernel version is 3.0. I Tried to backport driver from 3.10 but lot of functions is missing from net stack.

Doesn't matter how I try, it gets to updating contacts database and freezes. I've tried every way listed here and some of my own... I've even tried rebooting 1, 2 and 3 times after lock up. Same thing.........

The update.zip is nice if you don't want to lose everything but it would be nice if there was a .img file also...

Yeah an .img would be nice, the odroid 4.7 self-install emmc android image appears to be corrupted or something (repeated flashes using dd won't boot and three different downloads all have the same wrong md5 sum). By contrast, the 4.5 image works fine, but won't allow an update to Lollipop.
