Hi, I'm having trouble building this - assume I'm doing something wrong!

I've repo sync'd and when I run ./build.sh odroidu

I get "build/core/base_rules.mk:154: *** hardware/samsung_slsi/exynos4/libhdmi/libsForhdmi/libcec: MODULE.TARGET.SHARED_LIBRARIES.libcec already defined by external/libcec. Stop."

I'm able to build the core android on my machine. so I should have everything I need..

Thanks in advance

Hello,

I'm trying to install cyanogen 12.1 and can not.
I used the ODROID v2.3 updater application.
First I download the update according link.
Then I do the checksum .
Below I extract .
And finally I press the Restar for update button, and does nothing . I do something wrong?

Dear @voodik,

I've just set the (display) sleep to a certain delay and I can't get rid of it any more. Display keeps sleeping after the set delay - as it isnsupposed to. But how to remove the delay for good, having the display staying on forever, as in the default setting?
Already set the dev settings to 'stay awake' but this has no effect either.

I'm reinstalling now. Could you please point me/other users which might have the same situation, into the right direction?
Thanks!

I have had a problem with apps that have been moved to SD partition. They are removed from the CM launcher home at boot. I am using Nova the shortcuts for the SD apps are not available for 30+ sec after boot. I'm using eMMC storage.

Thanks for development of 5.1!!!!!!

I installed Cyanogenmod 12.1 and it is working really smoothly!
The only problem is KODI 15 which crashes at the first start... any idea why?

If I need to cutomize something or anyone else noticed the same issue...

Thanks

remove /system/lib/libcec.so file if you don't need HDMI-CEC
if you need CEC downgrade Kodi to 14.2.
This will be fixed in next build.

Hi,
sorry for the late feedback... some network issues and no time to fix... clearly your solution works! thanks

just a copule of (I wish) easy question:

1. each time I start the Odroid, Sound Search crashes twice, anyone else has this issue? is there a solution?
2. I'm using Kodi 14.2, when I start it the TV switch to HDMI 1 (from the actual which is 2), if I switch manually to the number 2 everything is fine. Beside switching the two cables, is this an issue of my tv? this happen only with Cyanogen.

Many thanks
Luca

is your all apps updated ? Especially google play services ? Check for updates in play store.

In this version HDMI port is hardcoded to 1, connect your Odroid to HDMI-1 source on your TV. In next version (for Kodi 15.x) i added special system properties and you can select your HDMI source port via it.

"Quick System Info Pro" app can do it.
First enable root access if not.
Then after fresh boot and crashes open this app > View logs > logcat > share > Plain Text (check Compressed) and send via e.g. Gmail to armansh@fibernet.am
do same for dmesg log.

Hello. (sorry for poor English)

I built android with "ro.radio.noril=0" property to use 3g modem. (device/hardkernel/odroidu/system.prop)
And I added pppd service and scripts for ppp connection. (It works on Android 4.4.4)
Code: Select all
# getprop | grep noril
[ro.radio.noril]: [0]

1. But, when the ppp service is started, there is an unexpected error. This error is not occured on 4.4.4.
Code: Select all
12-31 14:01:50.536: E/pppd(3042): default route ioctl(SIOCADDRT): No such process

2. I tried to add default gateway manually, but "no such process" too.
Code: Select all
# route add default gw 10.64.64.64 dev ppp0
No such process

3. netcfg command
Code: Select all
lo       UP                                   127.0.0.1/8   0x00000049 00:00:00:00:00:00

But, I can't ping anywhere.

4. This is a full log during starting pppd service.
Code: Select all

If you need more information, please tell me anything!!!

Thanks in advance.

"Quick System Info Pro" app can do it.
First enable root access if not.
Then after fresh boot and crashes open this app > View logs > logcat > share > Plain Text (check Compressed) and send via e.g. Gmail to armansh@fibernet.am
do same for dmesg log.

I sent you the email as per your request, but I also fixed the issue so, don't spend time on this.
I lloked at the logcat and noticed the service com.android.ears crashes, uninstalled Sound Search with Titanium Backup and installed it again from Play Store. The service works propoerly now.

Just for info, the version included in the GAPPS (which doesn't work in my case) is 1.1.12, the one of PlayStore 1.1.8.

Thanks for your help!!

You can't use ppp connection in Lollipop by setting up it via shell.
Yes you can connect but your connection is not usable in Android.
So our build already included RIL library for handle USB 3G modems (but it not support all 3G dongles)

1) Revert changes you made.
2) set ro.radio.noril=0
3) if it possible set your modem to "modem only mode"
4) connect your modem to Odroid and reboot it
5) Dump logs via "logcat -b radio" for check is your modem detected by RIL lib.

I think better to find our RIL lib supported modem than try to hack android connectivity framework.
You can always buy me a beer Here ;)

Am I missing something? I've been trying for a couple of months to get this working. I install android, go to updater, download the update, format userdata and restart. It gets to Android is Upgrading, usually does updating apps and locks up. I've even gone to the store to make sure it wasn't just doing things and I wasn't patient enough. I have a Samsung Pro 32Gig sd. This time I used android-4.4.4_alpha-4.7-sd_installer-odroidu-20150526.img.zip. Also, the blue light quits blinking...

Just a side note, I've tried 3 different sd cards.

An img would sure be nice...

Another little update, I wasn't sure if the gappinstaller from https://www.dropbox.com/s/f2ljl13kdpum2 ... taller.apk would work on the latest Android so I tried to download it and I get a 404 not found error!!!

Thx, Vlad.

Hello, great work!

one big question, I need BLE badly running on this, so is BT4.0 supported and is there any device that supports it? Please any link-name-chipset what works.
Thank You.

I have no idea any AOSP nor CM has a working HAL/framework for BLE. I am also very curious.

I got a problem with Kodi with this image. After the initialization on first boot it crashes.
I used the current Kodi version available from Play Store.

Does anyone have the same problem?

I can't get this update via Odroid updater tool.

I'm using latest version grabbed by using odroid updater tool:

But, when I've type url from first post, Download button is greyed out, so I can't download update.zip

But I was able to download update.zip via web browser. Is there any way to update my U3 with this downloaded update.zip?

Thanks a lot for the build.

ON UVC camera implementation, during a hangout video call, the video on the other side has got a green artifact. The image is completely greenish in color. Could you please look in this ? Im using the odroid 720p camera. The camera preview works fine as well the preview in hangout video call.Only the receiving party see a greenish image.

Same here, haven't yet looked at the log yet. Was thinking of trying with a previous version.
