If you are using 16/32/64GB of micro-SD card, you must flash this latest official image alpha-5.1 to install Voodik's CM OS.

The UVC implementation seems to have some issues. Hangouts, at the receiving end, video is green in color. (color conversion(RGB->YUV etc) going haywire at HAL level?). On Skype, the video call is getting connected in voodik's version. It displays the caller's video in full while connecting/ringing, once connected the video of person at other end is displayed. However the callers video in small window goes black and no video displayed at the other end as well. Upon selecting the
Display technical info' on settings(during a call, overlays technical details like bandwidth, audio details, video details such as bit rate, resolution, color etc), the 'COLOR' field is 'null'. Could you/Voodik please look into this or point into right direction of debugging? This is the only annoying thing in Voodik's build. It will be great to see it fixed.
On android stock camera, everything is fine including taking a snap.
Thanks to u and voodik for the contribution,

Re: CM-12.1 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for ODROID-U3
hi guys, the link for 1-click installer for dropbox is dead. Error 404.
So i took the Installer from codewalker:
http://codewalkerster.blogspot.kr/2013/ ... r-for.html
Now netflix doesn't play any video and another app called "MargineTV" shows this error:
"Missing Widevine libraries
Your device is missing the DRM libraries it needs for playback. If you've rooted your device, that's most likely the culprit. Give support a shout with any questions."
Maybe is the version of gapps or isn't?

Hallo, ich habe genau das gleiche Problem. Ich bräuchte eine Version die 640x480 unterstützt. Hast du das ans laufen bekommen.??MrWeb wrote:Thank you very much voodik for the sources.
The comile was successful
But i have the first problem and i think you can get me this information.
I need to use the hdmi output in 480p mode.
For that i need to change this in the androud sources (this i have made already)
and in the kernel config.
How i can run the kernel menuconfig from the build tree ?
I think you know that, for your driver includes/changes .....
Have you some links with informations about the android build system ?
By example, to add configuration dialogs in the andoid system...
Sorry for my questions, i can compile everything and develop software, but for building
an android system i am a newbie at the moment.
(Sorry for my bad english...)
Best regards,
MrWeb
I have same problem. I need output resolution in 640x480. Somebody knows a way how to support it?
Is there a way to Write pm?? I Need to contact user MrWeb with pm but i always get an error that i'm not allowed to send pm?!

That's what I've tried.
Playing videos in some apps not work: Netflix, MagineTV ...
There comes the error message:
"Missing Widevine libraries
Your device is missing the libraries it needs DRM for playback. If you've rooted your device, that's most likely the culprit. Give a shout support with any questions. "

I have no idea whether the Widevine DRM lib can be a part of AOSP or CM project.SkyMan86 wrote: "Missing Widevine libraries

Is there any plan to support Kodi 15.2?
This release works very well, just Kodi 14.2 cannot play some of my SD movies which are working on 15.2.
Thanks

All needed modules for this device are in /lib/modules/

Hi, I started a new thread here about CM-12.1 and Netflix. http://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=18634
I have posted a logcat of the crash which apparently is related to audio in the media player. Anyone know what I can do to fix that?

Not found. You need to use link from Product's FAQ. Will there be CM 13 for owners U2/U3?voodik wrote:Google Apps 1-click installer

I will also appreciate if there will be driver for Mediatek MT7601U wifi and also support for widevine (didnt test yet).
I can't use my bluetooth paired game controller (from Xiaomi), because in menu its still going down not matter what I do, but in Kodi its working fine
I cant try even Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) from Samsung, because TV can't find it.

Hi, voodik. Thanks for Your great work !
Just wanted to ask few things:
1) When I try to restore factory settings, CM reboots, but all installed applications remain. Is there any way to make factory reset clearing all data ?
2) Is there any manual how to edit build.prop ?
3) I had to use SD card to install CM, cause don't have any emmc reader. Is it possible to install Your firmware to emmc by starting installation from sd ? I mean, to make odroid create partitions and put data to EMMC.
4) Is it possible to install recovery on Your firmware ?
P.S Thanks for Your help ! )

Re: CM-12.1 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for ODROID-U3
Hi Voodik
I have managed to install this and it is working well. Tank you so much for the build.
If anyone can tell me how to install Google Play Story / gapps I'd be very grateful
The link voodik provided for 1-click for installing the gapps is dead.
Trying manually I have downloaded the gapps version I need but I can't find a way to install it.
Using the Odroid Utility "install package" doesn't work the way it does for the C2 - the drop down menu just shows "settings"
Next option was to install from a recovery reboot.
I have enabled developer options and switched "advanced reboot" on. However selecting recovery on reboot doesn't work - it just boots normally.
So - if anyone could tell me either
1) how to install CM recovery or some other recovery onto the U3
or
2) some other method to install gapps/Play Store
I'd be very grateful
Thanks

You have to do it manuallyVERSUS wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2017 10:33 pmI have flashed using the 4.4.4_5.4 version but the ''DOWNLOAD'' button to flash Cyanogen Mod zip does not become blue to press it no matter what i do !!! 1) Use the browser to download update.zip and the md5 file from the link Voodik gives at the start of the thread
2) Use the UltraExplorer file manager to move these files to /storage/sdcard0. You will find them in "Downloads". Go there and long click, then selecting "copy", then navigate to /storage/sdcard0, then on the bottom left of your screen there is a red button which you click to paste. You need to do this for both files.
3) now start "Odroid Updater" - the files are already there - you don't have to click "Download'
4) Click the MD5 checker
5) Click "Extract" - this takes a LONG time - 3 or 4 mins
6) Install - I checked "format userdata" as per voodik
This all worked well for me - now I just need gapps

Re: CM-12.1 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for ODROID-U3
I can not upgrade to cm 12.1 from 4.4.4 5.4
I paste the link in odroid updater, press enter, press get version info and the download button is not active
So I thought about the 4.7 version

Open browser.
Download update.zip and update.zip.md5sum.
http://oph.mdrjr.net/voodik/4412/Androi ... update.zip
mv /sdcard/Download/update.zip[.md5sum] to /sdcard/
Open OdroidUpdater app.
You enable to click "Validate file".
Extract -> check "Format userdata", "Update uboot" -> Restart for update.

Re: CM-12.1 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for ODROID-U3
thank you for the information. I will check it when I return home. android 4.4.4 v 5.4 is very slow, it's hard to use it with micro sd, but the important thing is that my card has a class of "4", which is approximately 4 MB / s write. will buying a class 10 card cause it to work faster?

Re: CM-12.1 Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for ODROID-U3
I know it's been a long time, but as it's a new year, I'm trying to be environment friendly and use my good old odroid-u3, rather than throwing it away...odroid wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2015 9:52 amI have no idea whether the Widevine DRM lib can be a part of AOSP or CM project.SkyMan86 wrote: "Missing Widevine libraries
Your device is missing the libraries it needs DRM for playback. If you've rooted your device, that's most likely the culprit. Give a shout support with any questions. "![]()

So far, I managed to flash to Android 4.4.4 and update it to lollipop and install Google Apps. Thanks a lot to codewalker, voodik, odroid and also hexdump for indirect contributions.
One last step for me is this videostream playback error. I guess it's a codec related thing. I've tried lanching terminal as root and overwriting libstagefright.so but it wouldn't let me... Any ideas on fixing the videostream issue please?

Not sure you want to overwrite it but you likely need to remount the filesystem rw.
