eMMC problem when upgrading kernel

Unread post by hunty » Fri Apr 19, 2019 6:55 pm

Hi,
I've a U3+ unused and I want to upgrade and setup as internal server in my home network.
I've tried to upgrade the kernel following instruction on https://www.nico-maas.de/?cat=11&paged=2?cat=11 or http://trasteandoarduino.com/2017/06/11 ... t-2017-05/
but after the reboot the system hang with problem regarding emmc reading (I've a 8gb EMMC)
I've attached a serial log from the flashing via fastboot and then what happen after the reboot.
Please note that if I use the procedure (http://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=969) to recovery the eMMC, everything works fine.

Well,
thanks to Nico Maas it seems that newer uboot does not recognize the eMMC.
Using an older version it recognize the eMMC but it does not boot

Can you try to update your eMMC with a new uboot?
The U3(Eynos4412) use a hidden partition to load u-boot, not the FAT filesystem when you boot from eMMC.
This wiki link will help you update the uboot in the eMMC.
