Error on make menuconfig command

Hi everyone ,

I am creating a build of android.


I exactly follow the steps of the link
http://odroid.com/dokuwiki/doku.php?id= ... ng_android

While creating the img using make command i am geting error

Code: Select all

" kernel is not clean, please run 'make mrproper' "

I am getting img if I didn't run the make menuconfig

Go to the root of the kernel directory and run 'make mrproper'

But " make mrproper " will delete the kernel/.config file rt ?
this file should not be deleted

I added some drivers to code as specified in the magazine

so the make menuconfig should run to make this drivers active.

this is what i understand after reading that magazine...

so is there any way to remove this Bug without deleting the .config file

Any advice will be helpful

Just copy the .config, make mrproper and copy it back.
