Confirmed working/NOT working 3rd party accessories.

Unread post by spcano01 » Thu Feb 13, 2014 4:26 am

Due to the shipping costs, and sometimes not getting everything you wanted the very first time, let's get a consensus of confirmed hardware that works and doesn't work! This way, if someone wants to buy a Bluetooth adapter or power supply in America, they can use the provided links to purchase one that they have proof works! Unfortunately, I mostly have a list of NOT-Working items to add. :D Really interested in a US power adapter so it's not 4 inches long....very difficult staying plugged in.

Working!!

Follow the software link in my signature for a list of my personal Odroid gear.

Everything is available from Amazon, but the power supply and wireless adapter are different for the XU model. I use the Smart Power from HK because I dont want to damage my XU with a bad PSU.

I ordered a 64GB eMMC module and wireless adapter with my XU, and then got everything else but the PSU stateside.

BTW, I have the Logitech C920 camera, and it works great in both Android and Ubuntu. What issues were you having?

I am having speed issues with the odroid wifi adapter; can you recommend another that I could grab in North America?

There are lots of brands available on Ebay and Amazon. Search for "RTL8191SU" which works with both Android and Linux. Anything with a bigger antenna should improve your wireless speed.

Edit: The XU and U3 use a different chipset, but all other Odroid models work with the RTL8191SU.

all the logitech C series webcam is working well (tested the 920 310 525), i think there are no issues with all uvc webcams. I'm looking for an compatible usb video grabber card. I 'can't acquire analog video stream with XU except with webcams. Please someone can give me a link where i can buy it?
