USB UART Alternative

Unread post by ilham » Tue Jul 01, 2014 2:36 am

Hello, i'm planning to buy this module from a local supplier as otherwise it'd take almost a month from Korea.

It can be configured "as low as 1.8V" as you can see. (it's above the schematic, near the bottom of page.)

I assume a connection like in this picture is correct. Correct?

Yes, I don't see why it would not work

Just make sure that vdd from the serial connector is an output with 1.8v ref (just use a volt meter to test), if not you might use the pin 19 from CON10

I was referring to VDD_IO on the serial connector CON1, in the odroid side

Got it.

Btw, the pin 19 from CON10 is called XE.INT22. Pin 29 is the VDD_IO. For XU

C2 UART console port IO voltage level is 3.3Volt.
So it looks okay but we can't guarantee since we didn't try it.
