[Solved] audio not working in google hangout

hi all,

I have installed google play on odroid XU. I installed skype from google play. Its crashing, unable to open. Every time I open, the application crashes.
I thought to install other version of it. So donwloaded skype from http://www.appsapk.com/skype/. The skype opens but when I try to call, it says the video/audio call failed.
Please do let me know, if anybody have any solution for the same.

We could use the Google Hangout with 720p webcam for the video call.
We had no chance to try the Skype yet... ;(
We don't have any account of Skype.

Can you show me a logcat when you tried the Skype?

With the skype version downloaded from http://www.appsapk.com/skype/, I am able to make video calls, but unable hear any voice. I mean audio is not working.
since you have tried on google hangout even I tried with google hangout, but unable to hear any audio, I am using i ball usb cameras which has built in microphone.
I am also changing the question heading to " audio not working in google hangout"

We need to look into this issue more carefully.
I have two questions.

1. Did you try the analog output on your XU board?

2. Was it possible to hear your voice on the other linked device?

Wasn't it a case of a bug with the webcam audio overriding the audio out? I have no sound on my XU at all when booting with the webcam in.

We found the root cuase of this issue.

The sound card #0 should be on-board audio codec and sound card #1 should be audio chip on Webcam.
The on-board audio codec is bonded to HDMI output by software setting.

But if you plug the USB webcam and power on your board, USB audio chip is the sound card #0 and there is no sound.

There are two workarrounds.
1. Plug your webcam after full booting of Android.
2. Use other USB host connectors which is far from Ethernet. (near by DP connector).

Please let me know whether those quick fixes are working or not.
