NEWBIE!👍

Post by packoman »

Hi Everyone,
I’m Iain, from Hull, UK👍
After doing some research regarding buying myself a small board pc, I settled on a ORDROID H2+! I haven’t got it set up yet, although I won’t be disappointed?!
Now I haven’t bought any Ram, or Hardrive yet, I’m going to need some help from my fellow ORDROID-ers 👍
Now, in my local 2nd hand CEX store, they’ve got some SAMSUNG PC17000 DDR4 (8 GB for £24)
2133 MHz 288 PIN & I see from my ORDROIDs specs it takes DDR4 PC19200 Ram, will the Samsung Ram fit in my ORDROID?

Thanks

Iain

Hi, it doesn't meet the spec which says 2400Mhz. [Edit/update] With that said, the compatibility list posted by tobetter does include some PC4-17000 modules...

At any rate, it's not the right form factor. See
https://itigic.com/dimm-vs-so-dimm-char ... fferences/ .

I believe 2666 Mhz memory does work although it still runs at 2400 Mhz.

I gather you ordered the H2+ already? If not, ODroid has compatible memory in their store which makes things easy if you order direct. (Although I see they are out of 8GB modules..) Simple solution if buying elsewhere is to search for the parts numbers on the compatible list posted by tobetter.

Caveat: There is a bit of a mystery with some Crucial RAM modules, I reported 8GB modules working on my boards but others found them not to work.
